I'm looking for a good deal on a desktop. I'm trying to find a decent machine for the price in the 299 range. It's for the kids, and doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles. I imagine they will spend most of their time on cartoon network playing those flash games.

Emachines is right up your alley. It is basic bare bones good enough for surfing the web, checking email.

Doesn't walmart have it for under $200 on BF? You'd probably have to camp out early for it. Most people want the cheap laptop (I'd always go for the next one up for 300-350 if it's going to have to last 3-4 years)

So Walmart is basically moving the campers inside the store. Open it up at midnight but you can't buy the doorbusters til 4AM.

Well half of Walmarts are open 24 hours anyway. So it's not like people don't hang out in there all night anyway. Walmart is a store you don't want to go to on Black Friday.

The crowd is INTENSE, RUDE, SMELLY and HOSTILE. Back in the day when I worked at a 24 hour Walmart on Black Fridays, it was ALWAYS at least 2 fights that broke out in the Electronics Department on Black Friday.

Mainly because you get these rich people coming in there buying 6 of the same thing, which pisses off the average person due to the fact they can only afford to buy one and really NEED Black Friday for their kids can have a good Christmas.

And on most things, there isn't a limit on how many you can buy. I remember last year some of my friends who still work for Walmart told me this lady bought 5 DS's, 3 PS3's and 4 tv's.

I remember back in the day, women use to come up in there and buy 4 laptops at once. And those weren't the cheap ones either, they were the $699 ones.

Well normally the Emachines Walmart carry don't ever be higher then $299 anyway year round. And I don't think I ever seen an Emachines higher then $399 anywhere in a store before.

I know right........Last year right before Call of Duty Modernwarfare 2 came out, this dude was in Walmart with his grandma, she bought him a 42 inch Phillips LCD and a 250 GB PS3, just for that game. He got it about a week before the game came out.

All I ever got from my Grandparents was a hi and bye. They never bought me crap. Not for birthdays, christmas, nada, nothing.

Just like a few of my friends still get christmas gifts from their parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts. I was like for real ? Damn.......Who ever thought they would still do that in your 30s.

My parents, uncles and aunts stopped buying me chrsitmas and birthday gifts when I turned 16, LMAO. They were like you are a man now, you want gifts you better get a damn job and buy them yourself LOL.

Thanks man, I know about those eMachines but I'm hoping to find a deal on a better quality/bigger name machine coming down to around that price on BF. If I can't find anything like that, I'll settle for the eMachines.
