Re: Friday Night Lights Season 5
Just finished watching...this show was consistently great from season 1-5...sad to see it go, but I'm glad with the way it ended. Things were wrapped up nicely and the storylines ended well. Definitly could have seen another season with the Dillon superteam and Vince Howard being recruited but thats another story. Maybe another FNL movie hahah.Go Yankees
Go Rangers
Go Giants

Re: Friday Night Lights Season 5
Watched the first episode last night of season 5 on NBC. I screwed up the recording somehow when direct tv ran it earlier this year. Great first episode, I got a feeling this is going to be best season out of them all.Comment

Re: Friday Night Lights Season 5
SpoilerJust watched Episodes 11-13.
I felt episode 11 was rushed through, i believe we had 4 games in 1 episode.
The ending of this show was perfect. Loved seeing the ending. The last pass play in the championship ending at Taylor new school was great. I was on pins and needles right there, definitely thought they were gonna have them lose the game.
Luke going to the military made perfect sense for him.
I thought everyone was suppose to return for the final episode. I thought it would be at Matt and Julie's wedding after I saw he proposed to her.
I guess we were all wrong on the guesses that someone dies which brings everyone back to Dillion, not Christmas break.Spoileris how Luke wasn't given a scholarship. Dude was a standout arguably the best player on his team. On both offense and defense, and he can't get a free pass to college. But Vince has all the top schools chasing him? get outa here with that"I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

Loved this show and thought it was great throughout. The only thing that didn't sit well with meSpoileris how Luke wasn't given a scholarship. Dude was a standout arguably the best player on his team. On both offense and defense, and he can't get a free pass to college. But Vince has all the top schools chasing him? get outa here with thatSpoilerI think he was getting interest from smaller colleges, but in the end didn't feel like football was his thing and would only play football if he got a big time offer. It made for better TV that they showed him going into the army.Comment

Re: Friday Night Lights Season 5
Street, Lyla and Smash weren't in the last episode. Smash hadn't been back after his storyline in Season 3 and Lyla only appeared in 1-2 episodes in Season 4 and that's been it for her. Street was in the beginning of Season 5.
I'm glad that Coach Taylor saw the light and allowed his family to move on. I think that early morning phone call from Buddy helped him realize it was time to go. After the way he was booted from the Panthers, there was no way he could've gone back there.Comment

I've got 1-4 on DVD and will be buying 5 soon. There's a 30-minute doc. on the Season 5 DVD with the actors sharing their thoughts on the series. Looking forward to watching that.Currently Playing:
