I'd save the money. I seriously doubt there is a $70-80 difference between them.

i really want the nook and i would like to get the nook color but the price of it makes me think twice.

      i can get a refurbished 3g Nook for 139 from Buy.com.

is the color that big of a difference? how good is the browser on the nook anyway?

      any advice is welcome?

I went with the nook color. More so for the fact that it can double as a Android tablet as well as be a e-reader.

A software update is coming later this month to add the tablet features if you don't want to do it via a micro SD card yourself.

Wait, you kind of contradict yourself? Do you think I should save for the Kindle or just do the $50 for the nook?

He's saying you should save/not spend the extra money as he doesn't think there is a benefit/difference to spending $80 more.

a tablet similar to the ipad only it uses Android OS. Honeycomb (v 3.0) and Froyo (v 2.2) are the 2 Android OS that people are using on the Nook color.

Man I love this thing after using it for a week! I bought Andre Agassi's autobiography and have been loving it so far.

I love this thing so much my sisters and I have just ordered one for my Mother for mothers day (8th of May here in Australia).

I don't see myself ever going back to regular books this thing is that good.

Yea, I had it preordered but I found out that my StepMom is getting one for me for graduation and she prefers buying things in stores so I am probably going to end up with the regular Wi-fi version from Best Buy.

I'm looking to get one as a gift for someone and wondering if this one is comparable to the other versions or even better....

I don't understand the screensaver part.

Does the lower priced Kindle just jump to an ad screensaver while you're reading or is this only when you set it down without turning it off?
