Well guys never buy a Sony tv. I just got this pos in sept and it’s broke already. Geek squad says they never seen something like this before. So I have to bring in the tv and get a new one. He said the best companies right now is Samsung and lg. I have seen u guys talk about tcl.

I'm not even a Sony guy but C'mon.

"well guys, never buy a Sony TV" is almost laughable to read. Talk about making a definitive blanket statement on a company based on your singular experience with a bad set.

I'm not saying it didn't suck for him, I'm sure it did.

Then doesn't that make that an anomaly, something that is likely to not happen for anybody else who makes that purchase?

If everyone had that issue across multiple sets, then I think we would all understand your argument. Something like if they were all prone to input lag or poor screen uniformity, or many of them have bezels that crack or something. But if yours is one-in-a-million, then I don't really see the concern here.

Scott, I always respect your insight. I know you work in that Biz. But nobody should be scared away from a 60hz panel. I mean Nothing is broacasted over 60hz anyway, and yes it may help a bit if its a 120hz, anything over 120hz is a flat out gimmick.

What benefit that is actually quantifiable is there to a 120hz set?

Why does one need a 120 vs 60? Are they going to pc game on it? I honestly don't know and want to understand.

Watching sports and movies give you smoother motion with 120 hz. With 60 hz, you experience motion blur

So sports and movies are broadcast at 120 then and you need 120 to see it clearly?
