In this Order for me. I LOVE LCD. I have a LED Samsung smart tv in my Bedroom. My dad years ago bought a samsung plasma. I HATE Plasma. It has burn-in.

Is that your only reason? Because I have 12640 hours on my Samsung F8500 plasma, of which I watch movies and sports, play games, and watch programs with logos on the bottom right corner almost exclusively. Yet I could throw up a solid neon green on the screen, and you won't see a hint of burn-in, image retention, or uneven wear.

Then again, I also vary my content and don't have "torch mode" settings enabled either, so there's that.

Don't really have to worry about burn in anymore. On the B6/C6 it was really bad.

There is a service menu you can pop up with a button sequence on your remote. It shows how many hours there are.

Like I said, it's in a service menu that customers would often not really know about. It's something more for manufacturers to enter. I'm sure your LCD/LED/OLED has the exact same thing. I'll check my Samsung LCD tomorrow and see if the same button combination does it.

By the way, there are multiple hidden menus for this thing. One of them with a button combination is a super scary one to enter, because if you press the wrong thing you might brick your TV and void your warranty. I had to go into it to unlock two new picture preset options. It also resets all of your picture settings when you enter it. The info menu that I went into to check TV hours doesn't do those things though, but to get rid of the menu you have to turn the TV off and on. It's not a regular looking menu at all.

Maybe I'll take a picture tomorrow to show you what I mean.

Yea I think XxGamerxX. I have the B7 and been good so far. I have 2 kids who watch a ton of cartoons on it and my 8 year watches YouTube on it everyday and so far its been good. I try not to worry about it too much. As long as you switch up the content I think you’ll be fine..

Yeah I have no issues when I use it but I said earlier my nephew will pause a movie he’s watching and draws it out. I wasn’t in the room when he had it on for I think 30 minutes.

Had to take the controller from him and just play the movie he wants to watch. Big tantrum but at least I can breath while he’s watching.

OLED burn in is not a problem if you don't have your OLED light maxed out. Keep it in the 60s or 70s and you will be fine.

I tell people this all the time. I go to my buddy’s house sometimes and he has his B7 on torch mode. I keep mine around 60 and I have no problems with it.

MRT represents the number of hours the TV has been on.

I couldn't tell you, but I do know that it is an hour count on my set. It goes up once every hour that it's on, naturally of course.

I can do it on my old plasma in my bedroom, so I knew about it when I first got this one... it said a 1. I left it on several days running break-in slides, and when finished it was in the 100s, etc. I check it periodically just because.

I'm sure the T stands for Time, though. Measurable Residence Time? I have no idea.

I see Best Buy have their 2019 Samsung 4K QLEDS in now along with their 8K tv. So the 2019 models are named Q60, Q70, Q80, Q90. The 8K TV is named Q900. The smallest 8K is 65 inches and the biggest is 85 inches. They look great, but QLED always look great.

Sony also have a few of their 2019 models in as well. No 8K models yet for Sony though. No 8K models yet for LG either. LG 8K models suppose be coming in next month though.

Anyone else ever just randomly get amazed at the quality of picture we get at home now? I just remember my huge flat glass screen tv pre-HD back in the mid 2000's. I was so happy it didn't have the curved screen like most tvs back then.

Now you can get like 50" ones that look killer really cheap, and the quality isn't bad.

Really funny was that I was watching the US in the Women's Curling Championships when i was just appreciating the era of TVs we live in lol
