Burn-in now it just used as a scare tactic. I have a total of 5 OLEDs in my home, and zero have burn-in, including my main OLED, which was purchased in 2018.

Good to know, because I was leaning to the OLED side of things (OLED vs. QLED), but the burn-in possibility was giving me PTSD flashbacks of how anxious I was for the first couple of years regarding my usage when I got my Plasma.

As an aside, anyone here has any personal experience using a Samsung Smart Monitor M7 as a second monitor? Thinking of getting one.

I have zero concern about burn in if I do get the C1. It's going to be in our bedroom. As it is now, I'll be the only one that's going to use it besides if we're watching something together on it. Even then, it won't be everyday and not more than a couple hours.

I got the C1 last year, no problems with burn-in at all.

Went to Best Buy to look at some monitors/UPS backups and for the heck of it asked a representative: "if I buy an OLED tv and buy the stores' warranty, does it covers "burn in"?"

And he said yes, as long as it isn't "exaggerated". Think I'll just ask the same question to all the representatives until I'm satisfied

Was hoping to see a small price drop on the C1 I wanted since it was cheaper in the summer sales. But, I'm okay with the price. So, just waiting for it to come available. Only seen it available 1 time since July

If you aren't seeing it I wouldn't get up a lot of hope. It's a 2021 model already clearanced out once.

If your work has access to discount programs it's $1,360 for the 65" on the LG Members site - https://members.us.lg.com

I was just waiting to see if it would drop again since it was cheaper earlier this year. I'm perfectly okay with the current price. The only issue now is just availability. The only time I've seen it available since July was a couple Sundays ago for like 5 minutes on two separate occasions that day. I'm fairly certain it won't drop in price, so I'm ready to buy it. I just don't like having to stalk websites and don't want it from Amazon. I didn't get notified last time I seen it available, I just happened to look on Best Buy. Luckily I'm patient and not in rush to get it. When I get it, I don't plan on upgrading for a long while

I'm going to buy a 4k Google Chromecast device when I get the TV since i stream a lot from my phone..

Pulled the trigger on the 48" C1 today. It became available for shipping and jumped on it. I couldn't see it dropping any lower than what it is now. I was only hesitant now because I don't like spending money on myself like that and I didn't have any issues on the mid-tier 4k TV I had now. But, the value is there for me and it is likely a huge enough upgrade for me to warrant it. Barring any issues, I don't see myself upgrading from the C1 for a long time. We've had the mid-tier for 5 years now, and I can see myself going longer with the C1. I'm good with the 48" because the mid-tier was 49" and had no issues with that. It should be here by next Friday.

I was going to get a 4k Google Chromecast device with it as well. But, I'm holding off with that for now. As long as it has the apps I normally stream from my phone in 4k, I might not need it

Hey Scott - I have a question you may know the answer to. I currently have an LG GX in my living room and we're finishing our basement and I'm going to be getting a G2 (both 65").

Do you know if the GX/G2 wall mounts are interchangeable? Was thinking of putting the G2 in the living room but didn't want to have to take the mount off the wall with it. I would then put the G2 mount on the basement wall with the GX TV.

                            Thanks!

Some changes...ordered the C1 last week and was slated for today 11/4. But now it's saying it's delayed. I checked that my best buy had the 48" C2 available for immediate pickup for just $160 total more than the C1. So, I canceled the C1 order since they didn't take out the money. So, I should be able to pick up the C2 as soon as they say it's ready.

Just picked it up. I will set it up tomorrow morning. But, I will look up videos about settings because I never considered buying the C2 and all the videos I looked at were about the C1
