Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
This Hisense is superb value and a better tv over the q60t

Still 60 hz, I’d rather go with a more dependable brand like Samsung over Hisense.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Alright looking for some suggestions. Setting up my man room monitor/TV setup.
I am getting an HDMI splitter so I'll be able to mirror the image on the monitor/TV. My plan is to game on the monitor when sitting at the desk and then the TV above will be used for co-op or more casual gaming on the loveseat like 7 feet behind desk. It's a pretty small room.
I'm looking for a 50" TV for the space and want it to support what a PS5 visually can put out. Needs to be a smart TV as well which I'm assuming is about every new TV that comes out. We will stream most of what we watch on there. Would like it to be a solid gaming TV so when I play on it I get a pretty good experience and if I play something where timing is important I won't be left in the dust.
Budget: just want it to be middle of the road, not high end, not cheap.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
After several YouTube videos I'm going to rock a budget TV for now. That TV you listed would be absolutely incredible, but in my setup the TV would be secondary and I wouldn't use it to the point I would justify getting it. Also, there's no way I'd play on an OLED and then be okay with staring at a 24" monitor that's likely gonna be 1080p.
Even with that if I wouldn't be able to use an HDMI splitter because it would downscale my PS5 to 1080p probably. They don't even have 4K monitors with the specs I want in the size I want.
Overall going 4k with 120hz for Ps5 would be very expensive as you pay the luxury of an early adapter.
I'll probably just go budget until the tech gets to the point I can have my 4K 120hz 24"/27" monitor setup. It sucks but when it comes down to it I want to make sure I get the smoothest game play I can have over visuals.
If I was getting a TV strictly for gaming and didn't have my setup, that would be the one. I just can't make it my primary gaming TV in my setup.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Might be returning the C1 for a projector setup. In the process of closing on a house than has a room I can use as a dedicated media room. With the same $1800-$2k budget I think I'd enjoy a 100"+ screen in there over a super high quality 65". Sounds like my budget is good enough.Comment

42 and 97 inch LG OLED this year. C2 series getting the Evo series brightness levels.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I like that they are bringing back a quality TV in the lower 40" range
I returned my C1. For reasons stated about about having a bigger space now, and also it had a red tint on the left side that I was going to live with, but realized that for $1,800 it's unacceptable.
Of course I did not re-order before prices went back up. Might order from Costco now and hope it goes down for the "Big Game" and they credit me.
Looking at the 75 X90J.Comment
