Yes...but that was employee pricing(I think that made it $899)...plus my civil service discount(any uniformed service member gets an additional 10% off)...PLUS one of the employees(I guess he's the manager) gives us an additional discount for the guys in the firehouse. Like I said...we buy thousands and thousands of dollars worth of items from them just for the firehouse(we buy our own T.V.'s....A/C's etc..)...
I did have to pay tax as I bought it for myself and don't get the tax exemption like we do for F.H. items.

We went today to a few stores and looked at the 46" and 55" TV's much closer and my wife also thinks we should just go with the 55". The 46" looked smaller than what we had before.......but again I think it is what you guys said with these TV's being on a wall full of different sizes. LOL!

Anyway....it's a nice 1080p Plasma with the built in apps for Netflix and such(which is a homerun, since I wanted to hook a PC up to it anyway for Netflix...although I have conflicting info on whether the Netflix app made it in for the set. I haven't set it up yet obviously )

They also have the Netflix app on the PS3 Knight in case it does not have it.

Thanks...my wife doesn't want to mess with the controller though.
It looks like I need a USB WiFi adapter for the direct internet connection to the TV though.

Kash...It's the one in Elmont N.Y....but like I PM'ed you....I think the cheapest you'll get that offered for that particular TV is either $899 or $999(I can't remember what the employee pricing was...I was watching him ring it up....we don't even haggle with prices with them...we tell them what we want(knowing the price elsewhere) and we get a great deal.

After that...I can set it and leave it at my desired settings?

Other than that, pretty simple set up.

Yes... What ever mode you will use turn down contrast to 1/2 (usually 50) of it's full setting. Once your close to or over the 100 hours set the settings to your liking.

Please let us know in an update after you have a lot of time with it. How you like it, how the games perform, etc.

I am still on the fence for LED LCD or Plasma, but seriously leaning towards the very model you just bought.

g25's are great plasma's nearly instantaneous response time.

That reminds me. I need to buy the Add-on for my Harmony One remote so I don't have to use the Sony PS3 remote. The PS3 remote is much better than the controller, but I still want to keep everything on one remote.The Harmony One is fantastic. I've got one in the family room and one in the bedroom.

I would go with a plasma. They're a lot better for gaming, and have the deepest blacks which will make your picture POP. They also have faster processors giving you less input lag. Essential for baseball, fps and fighting games. I own 2 lcds, but plan on picking up a panasonic plasma soon.
