Sharp or Samsung is the only LCD-LED I'd buy. If you want plasma, Panasonic is the best but 42 inches is the lowest they go. Sears is selling a 50 inch plasma with a free blu ray player right now for 699$.

I just bought the Samsung 55" LED 3D 240Hz Smart television (did not get voice controlled one) and it came with 4 3D glasses. I bought it at Best Buy and they through in a Samsung LED 32" tv. I love the 3D for sports.
I am the lesson after the fall.

I warned my wife that things are getting so cheap that I apologize in advance for the day that I come home with a 32" 1080p TV to replace my 24" Dell computer monitor.

Are there great values in the $350-$500 range for 37-42 inch TVs though? I mean, I know you won't get all the bells and whistles, but I don't feel like spending a ton on a TV at this point of my life. At the same time, I am tired of old tube TVs.

I see them on Amazon and Best Buy and stuff, but I'm actually concerned more about input lag and how a PS3 will perform on it than if the picture is super, super sharp. Any HDTV is going to be an upgrade to my current setup.

Need some assistance from the tv buffs. I can get a Samsung 40 inch b5003 off Craigslist for 350 ( a littel skeptical of buying used) or should I just kick out the dough for Samsung 40 eh6000 for 649.. I now the obvious answer is if I can get the new model get it.. Is it really with the difference ?

If there is a solid deal on a 55-er, I'm game.

I have been holding off on a upgrade for awhile.

Currently with a average but serviceable 37in LCD.

Times are better now, so upgrade is possible.

Are you wanting LCD or plasma? I'm pretty certain you can find a suitable set if you have a $500 budget.

You should be able to easily find you one out there

I held off although I saw a few at sears, walmart, target bestbuy and frys, but I wanted to go bigger

I love it! I actually bought the 8000 model first, but realized that I'd never need the camera or use the voice activated features so I returned it and down graded. The 3D was a little better on the 8000 model, but not to the point where it made me want to keep it. I only have two 3D movies now though, Captain America and Journey 2. Both look amazing! My 8 year old son and I have watched each twice since I got it.

I haven't really looked yet, part of me wants to wait to see what BF/CM has to offer.
