Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread

I'll be making my 60 inch LED purchase in the next week or so and really need to make a decision. I really like the Samsung UN60F6300. It runs 1499.99 at Best Buy. I also have a Vizio on my sights. Vizio E60-1I.

I have mentioned this topic in this thread before but need to make a decision as I'm making my purchase VERY soon. My budget is no higher than 1499.99. Any suggestions on these models or other models? Thx!

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread

finally received and set up my tv/sound bar. I am kind of disappointed. Everything that I read had said that my tv had soundsahre so it could connect to the sound bar via bluetooth. come to find out today that my tv actualy does not have sound share. So my only options to connect that soundbar to the tv are regular audio input or optical cables.

So since this is my situation, is it worth buying the optical cables over using the regular audio plug?

Of course. It would probably work better than SoundShare anyway.

ugh so I just got the *** **** tv today and its constantly restarting. Like it won't even get past the load up screen and then it restarts and keeps looping. On the rare occasion it loads up if I hit any button on the remote it restarts again. This is absolutely unbelievable.

In a nutshell....The Samsung is in all likelihood the best tv. If you want the best tv your money can afford get it. You won't be disappointed.

The only other possible question is would you be satisfied with either of the other ones you linked to. They would save you $500. You can do a lot with $500 .... get another 40-50 inch tv for another room, get a surround sound system, pay some bills, etc

Of course I would LOVE to save some cash but I just don't know if I would be completely satisfied with the Sharp or Vizio. The Sharp gets some pretty good reviews and so does the Vizio. But then again there are some pretty bad reviews out there on them too a lot less than the Samsung. My problem is deciding if the Samsung is worth the extra 400 compared to the Sharp or the extra 500 compared to the Vizio.

                    Ok, I need some advice.

Im lookin to get a new tv for the release of the new consoles. I've been lookin at this one here, http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-M501d-A2...2291892&sr=1-6

Should I just wait till around black friday and hope for it (or any other tvs) to be cheaper or go ahead and make a purchase?

Also would I be getting full potential of the PS4 with a tv like this?

I'm not much for Vizio. Definitely won't be maximizing your PS4 with it, but I'm kind of picky with TV's.

I am as well to an extent, but I don't have to have the "best" tv out there. I've been researching quite a bit and lookin at reviews and have a few in the list of potential choices.

I wouldn't purchase a tv this close to Black Friday. There will probably be comparable tvs at better prices.

Unless 3D is a must have feature for you, you might want to consider paying the $100 difference and go with a Samsung LED (better reliability, probably better picture quality).

Sounds like the decision is made. You're getting a Sammy.

Then I have the Black Friday sales coming up. Wonder if that set will be on sale during Black Friday?

Not sure. Best bet will be to check on bfads.net or whatever Black Friday site you prefer the weeks before Black Friday.

The Vizio has less input lag, but I know Samsung is a better tv. Maybe if it is on sale around Black Friday.

3D isnt a must have feature, which to be honest I would never use it to begin with.

I'm gonna wait I think till I see some of the Black Friday ads first and then make a decision. Just don't want to break the bank.
