Looks like I'll have to order that 65 inch panny sooner then I expected.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
When the plasma leader is throwing in the towel, I'm sure the others will follow suit. Sad news, but not surprising. This has been rumored for months if not years.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
Yeah, this really sucks. Kind of funny that I had started this thread almost 3 years back when I was going back and forth between LCD and plasma. I really like my plasma and this sucks. If I had the money right now, I'd replace my Panny G20 with a larger Panny plasma before they are gone. It looks like Samsung is getting better with the tech and they are supposedly going to stick around a bit longer selling Panny plasmas. All my other displays at home are LCD, but my main one is plasma and it would be hard when the time comes to replace this with an LCD since I don't like the motion issues and lack of deeper blacks.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
Guys, recently a Panasonic rep told me the news, but he was very sure that Panasonic was so confident in this years line of plasmas that they will sell them for another 2-3 years. He said they may go to a very limited quantity at times but said they should be available for years to come. Panasonic just isn't developing any new lines or models.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
just got rid of my little 19" in the bedroom and replaced it with this Viera, The set is beautiful. Its 60hz and I'm fine with it, I don't fall trap to the 120hz/240hz.
I still have my LG plasma, I'm going to game on this set too, the xbox one is going on the Plasma and I'm just going to move the PS3 to this set. I may even hook the Xbone up to it.

Yeah and Walmart is by far closer to me than Best Buy is. Plus I'm working on Thanksgiving and don't get out until 5:30pm, which is 30 minutes before all the madness starts at Walmart, lol.
