If you play timing-imperative games, this small amount of delay is very crucial. I've had a 23" Samsung LCD for years, and have just learned to live with the input lag. Once I got my 59" Samsung plasma, the heavens opened up. The extra 10 - 30 ms of response time gained from not having an LCD (especially a Vizio) is something to consider when it comes to making a purchase.
So what would be a bad response time compared to a good response time? When looking at steps do I look for "Input Lag"?

Steps? You mean specs? Look for "Response Time."

I can't remember what "good ones" are considered, because I think they said my Samsung LCD was clocked at 8 ms, but I believe mine is > 30 ms, just by doing calibrations with my Rock Band games and everything like that. I think people say < 6 ms is not considered nearly imperceptible (or negligible), and < 4 ms is what most computer monitors use.

I really don't know for sure, but whatever it is, my plasma is instantaneous in response compared to my LCD, and a standard tube almost seems like the on-screen stuff happens before I press a button! Haha, LCD gaming sure has me wired to that kind of input lag.

Hooked up my Darbee to my Sharpn 45" today and wow. It's like someone said, I wiped the fog away from my tv. I have a picture of P.Willis on my ps3 wallpaper, and it made him come to life, even his tattoos jumped off his skin.

Jumped into FIFA and saw the grass get texture. Can't wait for my 70" and see how that pops with the Darbee.

I was just swinging in here because I'm debating on trying to scoop up a new computer monitor for the time being. Is there a 3D Touchscreen monitor on the market yet or is this just a concept out of my mind that I'll continue waiting for? Playing with the iPad has gotten me anticipating using a touchscreen. If they have one out, I might scoop it unless they start pushing for the glasses-free ones.

Is that an LED? That would seem expensive for a plasma (plus I don't think they made 60" models until this year's E series), so I'm just making sure.

Where did you buy it from? Most stores offer a price adjustment within 30 days of purchase. Wouldn't hurt to ask.
