I’m feeling the itch to upgrade my tv in the living room. Currently have the 65ks8000, but want a FALD tv. Can’t wait to hear what they say about the 75 inch TCL. I’m just not too crazy about the TCL brand.

They already have panel issues with the 65, probably same thing with 75.

Playing games in true HDR is like a whole new game. Madden just looks phenomenal. Ghost Recon Wildlands is simply beautiful.

Sports looks great. I've seen very little judder. Maybe once or twice. The fast action of football and wrestling slow great compared to my old 60hz TV.

So to sum it up, so far I am very happy with my decision to get this TV and I feel like at $700 it's a great value.
me too man - I'm loving the TV and addicted completely to PUBG. Gears 4 looks sick on it too and I haven't even opened the box yet to nba2k19

        The TV is dope!

Phillips coming out with OLEDs. I honestly didn't know Phillips was still around. I remember when they were popular at Walmart about 15 years ago when flat screens just came out.

Digital Foundry's recommendations for the best 4K HDR TVs for gaming on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC, from cheap TVs to premium OLED and QLED models.

LG OLED C8 considered the best HDR gaming tv to get right now.

What Panel issues? If you're going to mention Banding, it's not wide spread at all. Otherwise TV is Solid

It's not banding, it's panel uniformity. The TV is fine but for the 65", I'd rather have the NU8000 or 850F for $30 more.

TCL has screen uniformity issues. Put up a solid color and you will see flashlighting all over the place. I didn't know that banding was much of a concern.

                    EDIT: What Scott said.

My sister has the P605 model as well, and hers experiences it. I looked it up to see who else did, and it seemed to be widespread.

Do you have Local Contrast set to High, by chance? You'll want that enabled in the basic picture settings (not the advanced settings) for proper calibration so you have zone dimming. This might be what causes the uniformity issues though.

If any of you guys end up getting the 75-inch TCL, do us a favor and let us know how you like it. I have heard of some banding and panel uniformity issues as well, and while some media outlets (like CNET, for example) seem to love these things, it'd be nice to hear it from some critical eye real-world owners as well. I'm a bit skeptical personally, but I'd be willing to be convinced. I'm semi-in-the-market for a new TV, so I'll be interested to see.
