OLED won't drop in price quickly though. The patents are limiting it now, Samsung skipping it altogether, so the demand is not there.

MicroLED will allow them to basically make custom sized screens, maybe even changing size on demand.

Hisense coming out swinging this year. They finally bringing their best TVs to the US market, which before they kept in the Chinese market only. Overall Hisense at CES showed the most innovation and made the biggest leap. Come summer time you going to see Sony, Samsung and LG going to have to lower their prices, their quality lead won't be no where near as big this year.

More competition is going to be great

With 8k now actually being produced at consumer models, I wonder if content will actually catch up. There is little out there unless you want to pay for movies or stream with a paid service.

I guess the streaming movement may help that, but most of them aren't offering it yet.

These tv manufacturers now pushing 8K and we still have football games on fox looking like it’s in 720p. Only some streaming services are offering 4K right now.

NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.

Fox and ESPN are still 720p. It does work better for sports, but now with 4k cameras so cheap they are being cheap.

Notre Dame/NBC broadcast most of the games in 4k. It looked great. I can't believe the superbowl and other big events aren't broadcast in 4k.

Best buy has the TCL 65" 6 Series on sale for $800 this week. I picked one up on Sunday to replace my 55" TCL P605 in the game room, which replaced the 50" Panny plasma in the living room, which replaced the 42" LG in the bedroom. That's a win win win

Smart choice. At 800 for the 65 inch if you love gaming and HDR gaming that is the tv to get. Low input lag, Fantastic picture quality for games and movies and even better HDR performance.

                  It is a great tv.

They don’t sell TCL in Canada. I wonder why?

I think that will change for 2019 as U.K also were upset about this but TCL said they will offer them in the U.K in 2019

How much would it cost to have it sent from U.S to Canada?

I'm having a bizarre issue with the TCL I moved upstairs. I'm using it with an older Onkyo 5.1 receiver via HDMI. A PS4 and Samsung Cable box are connected to the Receiver.

What happens is watching cable if I stand up or move to the side, the sound and audio go cff for a second or two. Anyone heard of such a thing?

There is no such issue with PS4. I did check all connections. Issue also goes away when I connected cable box directly to TV.

Since theres no issue when connecting it to the TV, sounds like it's something with the receiver then..

Maybe some static in the lines? Try unplugging all the cables and see if it resolves it. If the audio stops, you have an issue in the receiver, a handshake/transmission issue causing only the audio to drop.

I would say it is probably some weird static or vibration if it always happens when you move.

Try switching the PS4 and cable box inputs to the receiver and you can see if it is a cable or receiver issue. If the issue follows the cable box, it is an issue with the cable and/or cable box. If not then it is the receiver input port and then just don't use that one unless you don't have additional ones.

After much troubleshooting I found the solution. I changed the HDMI cable between the cable box and receiver. Problem solved! I never imagined a cable could be that sensitive.
