So I don't really know what happened there

Was the machine shut down or just the people running the government program?

The machine is still in play. The Senator publicly denied that the machine existed and ordered Control to shut it down. Then to me it looked like all of the numbers were somehow redirected to Root by the machine.

Yeah was wondering what exactly was going on myself, these numbers that went to Root were all red...people she needs to kill? Or color doesn't really matter.

I was expecting Root to be devastated, and then you see her jubilation.

I got this on POI Wiki, so I must of missed something. Only relevant numbers are to be redirected to Root?

So is Root's skill with the gun(s) (that rivals the Two-Gun Kid) attributable to her intelligence or does the machine tell her the coordinates of her opponents during battle?

I think she's good with guns and the machine tells her

Yes Root has always only gotten numbers that were relevant to people wanting to take control of the machine. She is protecting the machine so it can be free. The machine was deactivated or the program getting the numbers, the machine did something, and Root now has a new set of numbers. I'm not sure what the new set or what actually happened when the deactivation was done though.

Harold gets the numbers that aren't relevant to anyone and helps those people.

The machine tells here where and when. She just has to fire. She is good though, but she just takes directions.

Yeah, you mean "irrelevant to the government", basically anything NOT involving national security.

I knew that, just wasn't sure how deep Root was with the machine. I wonder how far they'll take the "humanness" of the machine?

I was a little confused by the ending. The way they had Harold apparently going his on way, I was sure (and surprised) McCourt had been killed.

Is it possible that off camera Harold made a bold move to stop John from killing McCourt?

So I'm completely avoiding this thread, I have not seen a single clip of any of the 20 episodes that are on my DVR (and I'm itching to... gotta wait for the right time that my dad and I can devote to watching all of them).

I kind of just want a thumbs system on here... how is this season looking for ya'll? Really good? After Season 2 I'm only assuming (and don't tell me lol) that there might be some main character additions, so I'm just wondering if those might have gotten in the way of the experience or not.

Still the best show there is like before?

IMO this is the best season. It takes "the machine" to another level and the character chemistry is better than ever.

Agreed. There is also more continuity from show to show in regards to the overarching story (particularly in the second half on the season), including less "stand-alone" type episodes, which I think has not only helped that chemistry but the sense of importance/urgency of the plot as well.
