I agree with this. Ebert has been through hell the last 15 years or so. First losing his friend Gene and then having to go through a cancer that basically has taken away his ability to talk and eat properly.

His tweet definitely came too hot off the heels of what happened but i'm glad he stood by it because I think we can all agree with the sentiment behind it.

Ryan Dunn was the one who stuck the toy car up his ***? That was one of my favorite Jackass skits ever!

What was his BAC level when he was driving? Has that been reported?

That's someones son , brother , friend, and boyfriend. Extremely classless if you ask me.

You may not enjoy the form of entertainment Dunn did for a living. Maybe you think its dumb and idiotic. Or maybe your too "mature" and above it all. But the fact is people of all ages enjoyed the work he has done. From all the accounts I've read and heard about him over the years nothing negative has ever been said.

Never involved in any type of scandal. In fact his last TV appears was for charity. I still firmly stand by my statement that if this was a athlete with no prior run in with the law the tone would be much different in here.

The last decision Dunn made proved to be a fatal one. I think everyone here can agree with that and its been said time and time again. I just find it extremely disrespectful to make fun of his work in a RIP thread. I guess everyone has a different opinion on what makes a "Jackass".
Never involved in any kind of scandal? Really?
He drove drunk after already having a prior DUI!
You cant do anything more wrong or scandalous in my book.

I could careless about the man has gone through in the past. Still doesn't make what he said right in my opinion.

I don't think any less of Roger Ebert for what he said. We have all said things we regret. But for me what he tweeted was classless and tasteless.

                Twice the limit? Nice.

He was only caught with a DUI once, but I think we all know this was a regular occurance for Dunn.
It was only a matter of time. Thank goodness it was only a one-vehicle accident.

Yep, unfortunately a lot of drunk drivers only get caught once or twice and so it usually takes something like an "accident" to suss things out.

I have little to no sympathy for chronic drunk drivers.

Wow, irresponsible, Egbert was correct in what he said, but as he said, the timing wasn't good.

I dont know, when I saw that tweet, I immediately thought he as referring to his "Jackass" Fame. I guess Ebert could have done a better job there.

Seriously? Dunn brings up this much vitriol towards Ebert?

Dunn made an idiotic mistake, luckily he didnt strike another vehicle and destroyed more lives in the process.

It was a play on words which clearly was calling Ryan Dunn a jackass.

You could care less what Ebert has gone through but you're overly sensitive to any criticism of Dunn?

Well, from what Ryan Dunn chose to show me of himself, he was a jackass. And that's not a play on the show's name.

The guy's blood alcohol was twice as much as what is legal. He was considered to be driving 140 mph....while drunk. Ebert was being soft.
