Those guys are always so close and to think that he'll never be involved in it again is so heartbreaking.

There's a scene in 3.5 where Bam jumps on a treadmill and falls and lands on a bunch of mattresses. He bounces to the ground and Dunn grabs him, smiling from ear to ear and hugs him, all the while saying "You're alive!!"

I don't see anything wrong with Ebert's Tweet either, other than he probably shouldn't have said them. If he was a comedian though, it probably wouldn't be a big deal.

Nothing wrong with people posting they miss the guy, even if it was his own stupidity that killed him. They were still fans and he was still a human.

Was Dunn the guy that stuck a toy car up his butt?
Explain to me again why he's 'famous'?

Because his movies/stunts/etc. made people laugh and was good entertainment for them ?

Re: 'Jackass' Star Ryan Dunn Killed in Car Crash

"Jackass" star Ryan Dunn had 23 driving citations, including one for DUI, in the 13 years before he and his passenger were in killed in a fiery car crash, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Charges were dropped in Dunn's 2005 DUI arrest after he completed a probationary program and received a suspended license, the paper said, citing court records.

The 34-year-old Dunn and his passenger, Zachary Hartwell, 30, were killed in West Goshen, Pa., when Dunn's Porsche 911 flew over a guard rail, hit a tree and burst into flames. Dunn had posted a picture of both of them drinking at a bar just hours before the crash.

A preliminary coroner's report found that both were killed by blunt-force trauma and the flames. Tests to determine if alcohol was a factor were expected to take several weeks.

I suppose. But when I hear people throw the word "talent" around it makes me scratch my head.
I've heard that all of the jackass guys got hammered before performing these 'stunts'.
Some were funny, I admit, but others were ridiculous.
Bringing a horse to climax and then consuming the results doesn't constitute a 'stunt' to me. That's idiotic and I don't think anyone who does stuff like that should be called talented.

Dunn was known to a very small group of people. So when I heard Bam Margera say that millions of people are in mourning over the loss of a talented star, I had to do some research. From what I've seen and read, this guy was simply what the title of his movies indicated. A jackass.

As he should be for tweeting what he did. "Friends don't let jackasses drink and drive" I guess it takes one to know one Roger. Yes driving drunk is wrong but calling him a jackass makes you look like the bigger jackass. The man had just passed away in a horrific car crash. That's someones son , brother , friend, and boyfriend. Extremely classless if you ask me.

You may not enjoy the form of entertainment Dunn did for a living. Maybe you think its dumb and idiotic. Or maybe your too "mature" and above it all. But the fact is people of all ages enjoyed the work he has done. From all the accounts I've read and heard about him over the years nothing negative has ever been said.

Never involved in any type of scandal. In fact his last TV appears was for charity. I still firmly stand by my statement that if this was a athlete with no prior run in with the law the tone would be much different in here.

The last decision Dunn made proved to be a fatal one. I think everyone here can agree with that and its been said time and time again. I just find it extremely disrespectful to make fun of his work in a RIP thread. I guess everyone has a different opinion on what makes a "Jackass".

I think you are underestimating the follow Jackass, Viva La Bam and the earlier CKY series . These guys were/are pretty popular. Could you call what they do talent? I don't know, but they were entertaining and were in the business of doing just that, entertaining.

I hear what your saying, but don't agree with everything. I have no opinion of the guy because I never heard is name before his death.

23 driving citations including a DUI in 13 years is a bit much. That's close to 2 per year, I can count on one hand how many driving citations I've had in 33 yrs of driving.

Nobody appreciates a young person dying so quickly. Just as much as you are saying about a pro athlete dying with no run in with the law, how avg Joe who dies young without this much attention.

I didn't know John Belushi when his life was taken away, only in the movies as some people would look at Ryan Dunn today. I felt bad we lost a fine talent at such at early age, but he wanted the "cocktail" that took his life.

I can appreciate the work Belushi did before he died, but I don't honor or endorse the way he died.(not saying you do either, just putting it all in perspective)

Ebert didnt apologize for what he said, he apologized basically for when he said it. He probably should have let the dust settle before making the comment but he stood by the comment itself.

Much to hard on Roger Ebert. He said his quick response was "unseemly"-end of story. Roger has handled himself with class and dignity through some very difficult times. One tweet doesn't change my mind about him.
