    Django Unchained

Django is a freed slave who assists a German bounty hunter. In return for his aid, the Bounty Hunter will help Django get revenge on the cruel Plantation owner Calvin Candie, who has kidnapped his wife and seeks to put Django in chains once more.
This is the next Quentin Tarantino film. Although it's not scheduled to release until Christmas day, 2012, I am already looking forward to this. I usually enjoy Tarantino's films and I'm sure I'll enjoy this one, especially with the cast that's already signed on.

    Confirmed cast-
    Leonardo DiCaprio - Plantation Owner
    Jamie Foxx - Django
Christoph Waltz - German Bounty Hunter
    Samuel L Jackson - Manservant

It was rumored for a while that either Will Smith or Idris Elba was going to play the part of Django

From what I understand, this is a remake similar to his Inglorious Basterds remake.

I wouldn't call them remakes. They are more like inspirations or a homage.

Inglourious Basterds shares very little with Inglorious Bastards outside of it being a war movie about the US and the Nazis.

Django Unchained will pay homage to Sergio Corbucci's "Django" and Takashi Miike's "Sukiyaki Western Django." (which Tarantino actually appeared in as an actor).

Either way, I enjoy Tarantino's films and I'll be looking out for this one. He's got Kill Bill Volume 3 releasing in 2014 too.

So is this going to be a western then? If so, I'm down!

Similar style but it'll take place in the South. Just enough of a little twist on it to keep the setting fresh.

            Sweet! Thanks for the info.
I love westerns and after watching Inglorious Besterds I thought Quinten would be great to make a western.

And Samuel L.? That was enough to sell me. Love S.L.J.!
