Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

I'm beyond excited for this, HP has been a big part in my childhood experience it's gonna be sad to this series end. I still remember going on a field trip in 3rd grade to see the 1st movie and at the time I really had no idea about it other then my mom had read me a few chapters before.

Seen the last few at midnight openings, idk if I'll be able to this time due to no car but i'll try to find a way

I feel the same way, I have a huge emotional commitment to the series.

I've seen every movie at midnight, even though I don't like how the books have been adapted, so I'll be seeing this and will likely not be very impressed.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Yeah I am excited too. What you guys are feeling is how I felt with the Star War trilogy.

I'm def. obligated to watch this.

I've read all the books at least 3 times and I've seen all of the movies. I know I'm going to be somewhat disappointed, because nothing compares to the books, but I'm going to be optimistic and take it for what it's worth.

I won't be going to an midnight screening or anything but I will definitely be watching this in theatres as I have with all of the others.

It's amazing how popular these movies have been over the years with 6 HP movies in the top 21 of all time grossing films worldwide.

Honestly, watching that last trailer (I think it was the one attached to Transformers 3) it looks like three hours of non-stop action. Sure it's not the book, but hot damn will it be an exciting watch for me and my son!

thought the same thing, only thing that bothers me a little is that in HBP they didn't show enough of Tom's memories in the pensieve, so that Harry knows somewhat which horcruxes he should be looking for...

I'm not sure how much the movie watchers could get out of Pt. 1.

When I watched it, I felt like you had to have read the book to understand everything that's happening, because they skipped around and dropped little hints here and there.

I'm assuming the casual movie watcher would like Pt. 2 more, just because of having more action involved.

Haven't seen any of these and only played through one of the games but I hear about it. My goodness do I hear about it. I was wondering something though. What world does this take place in? Alternate version of ours? They had Nick Cave playing on the radio in one of them so that sparked curiosity.

It's interesting, because they live in the same world we would, but their mind and bodies are open to things that the average person could never comprehend, without abusing the ability. You really just have to read it to understand completely. Coming from someone who doesn't read books ever, its worth reading and the people who think its stupid are those who have never read the books.

I.know this thread is about the movies,but.I.thought I.would try to help.

It's really a good read once you give it a chance...

They take part in our real world, but also see a gateway to another side that only wizards can see..
