First let me say that you are everywhere I go on these boards. No matter what the game or the show.

Anyway.... I completely agree. I wish they would move on with this because it's getting annoying. I can't imagine this group carrying around a baby all season.

When decontaminating a well you dump bleach down there, once you start to flush the water out it only takes a couple of hours before the bleach is completely gone and the water is completely refreshed.

Eww, so now I gotta drink zombie contaminated bleached water?!

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)

Between Glenn, Daryl, and Dale I could care less what happens to the others, though Dale's seemed to been pushed back to the back the past couple of episodes.

I really wish they had a more interesting main-storyline to tie all the characters together. That's what I think this show is missing, some kind of story-driven element that progresses the characters and the season. Look at the shows with big casts and those that work usually have some kind story used for glue. We're not even half-way done with the season and the major storyline was played out 2 episodes ago. If Shane doesn't go off on Lori and kill everybody around him then they need to wrap it up ASAP. It's been in a tail-spin since the premier and I really do not understand any of the related parties' motivations at all. What is Lori thinking when she tells Shane to stay? Rick is an even bigger question mark to me.

I think the shortened season last year restricted the writers from toiling too long on a specific plot-line and kept a really nice pace going. Plus, the threat of a spontaneous zombie attack was always felt. I think that's something they either have lost or just pushed aside for some reason. Hell, you have Daryl traipsing off through the forest by himself and nobody raises a brow. The pacing is a lot slower this season and I'm all for slow-moving shows, but there has to be some kind of trade-off for it. Give us stronger characters, flesh out their motivations and personalities, and actually progress all story-lines. I know people have called for more action and while I don't call for that specifically, if it makes the show more interesting then go for it because that is one area that is usually done amazingly well.

LOL! That is cool, I've seen you posting in many of the threads I have.

A guy I work with today was speculating that the owners of the farm were hiding wife somewhere in the farm because she probably got turned into a zombie. I never thought about that and is a very interesting theory if true.

Like I said from the beginning, this show is not going to be for a lot of people. I think a lot of people are going in looking for zombies and action every episode as I've seen reading around. TWD tv show takes a page out of Romero's Dead series where human conflict is at the forefront and the zombies are second to that conflict. Like last night, I was ok with just seeing the well zombie which was just enough. I sound like a broken record, but I do hope they find Sophia before the end of this first half of the season and this love triangle crap better end soon.

I am hoping that the second half really is the start of some new storylines, but I kind of doubt that due to the whole pregnancy angle. ARGH!

Again, this is better than 95% of the zombie films that have had bigger budgets than S1 and 2 combined.

Just throwing out an idea on this question.

She obviously thought she was pregnant for the last couple of episodes and Shane is the father. I think that is why she has wanted to keep him around. She doesn't know what to do about the baby yet. If she keeps it, what happens with her and Rick? Does she ask the vet for an abortion and keep the secret from everyone (except Glenn, who knows what's going on now)?

I think she hasn't been able to answer that question yet, which is why she wants Shane around, despite what he did.

Well, her decision can be interesting because I'm going to assume she'll act as if no one else knows the truth, but she doesn't know that Rick probably knows she's pregnant. There's still that whole whisper in his ear in the season one finale.

It hasn't been confirmed that's what he heard, so I'm guessing the writers are planning to bring that element back in as a shocker to the general audience that didn't pick up on it or don't visit message boards to read good theories.

Hopefully, that's the beginning of the conflict coming to the forefront. It's really about time Rick and Shane go at it instead of rubbing each other's necks.

I hadn't noticed Rick actually does that all the time until I started looking for it...needless to say I started convulsing in waves of unmitigated laughter

If that's what she wants, then great, but it seems like every episode she flip-flops on what she wants and how she thinks.

Why would Lori betorn to tell Shane he is the father? (other than the fact she cheated on Rick) All she has to do is keep it quiet, have the baby and let Rick be the father. No one would know differently. Yes, the time frame might not quite match up, but with no hospital or doctor to see how far she is, they could just play it off as the baby being born premature.

The farmer said that he wanted them out of the house, but when Rick said they could set up shop in the barn, didn't he sayno, we might need you if an attack happens? So why do you want them to leave then?

Unless like you guys said, one of their family members is tied up in the barn and they don't want the crew to find them.

They're hiding something, because when Rick brought up the barn the doctor shot that down really quick.
Also, there's some "eye-glancing" going on between the doctor and his daughter when the group was talking about killing zombies.

Could it be his wife or son having turned into a zombie and their keeping them alive in the barn? Many zombie films have done this where a family member or two become zombies but the surviving family members don't want to kill them so instead they chain them up.
