im not talking about the amount. the shelf-life of gas is short, 3 to 6 months before it goes bad.

          I like it.

Catching up on season one, pretty cool show and I don't know how I missed out.

Anyways I find it hilarious every time the "sherif" goes out on a "mission" he puts his uniform on...

I'm new to the whole walking dead so maybe that's how the comic was?

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)

I am quite surprised that they are going to continue dragging on this storyline with Sophia missing in the woods. They combed the entire woods and nothing. Where did she possibly go or turned into someone's lunch.

I was not a huge fan of that flashback at the beginning and hope its not something that we will see every week. That is what made LOST special to me, don't need it here. It did seem like a slower episode, but I think next week is going to be fairly action packed with Shane and that country dude.

Now this is where I would go if there was a zombie invasion, no way up for those bastards. Only thing is that we would be screwed with no food up there after awhile. LOL!

3 to 6 months before before ethanol blends start attracting water, but the gas can still get the job done after its actual expiration date. It can be very bad for your vehicle, but I'm guessing most people will take the good with the bad in a zombie apocalypse.

Definitely a slower episode, but pretty good. I'm also getting tired of the search for Sophie. She's a 10 year old girl.. is it really feasible that she would survive on her own, in the forest, during a zombie apocalypse for more than a couple of days?

Darryl has become the only character I care whether lives or dies. I thought this one was better than last week, but still dragging out the missing girl thing has become tiresome. Somebody needs to die to shake the group up. I'm slowly losing interest.

I've enjoyed both episodes so far. I don't expect zombie attack, after zombie attack, followed by more zombie attack's. I expect there to be some dialog along with a few back stories, so the pacing is fine with me.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)

I can't believe how slow ep2 was. It made ep1 look like the movie "Crank".

I'm giving this series one more show to prove itself before pulling the plug.
The only reason I might continue watching is in hopes that all the characters meet a horrible demise.
Why don't Rick and Shane just make-out already? They're scenes are so ridiculous and poorly acted that I'm uncomfortable watching them.
Lori's going to complain that the only person who is even remotely capable of saving her dying son's life is only a vet?
The mother of Sophia still doesn't seem that interested in finding her daughter.
If that's my kid, I'm out in the woods until I'm dead or I find her.
For a show that really seems to want to push the dramatic overtones, I have no idea why they fluff over the one scenario that actually requires a lot of drama.
I couldn't care less about the Rick-Lori-Shane triangle. It's boring. In fact, this entire season has been an enormous bore-fest.
They could have easily combined ep1 and 2 in about 30 minutes.
So now we're nearly half-way through the first part of season 2 and we've learned nothing and I haven't been close to becoming entertained.
Only the end of ep2 got me interested.

This is the problem with shows that try to extend themsevles too far. If Season 2 was only 6 episodes like S1, then you know these new episodes would be so much better.

But to say I've been disappointed so far this year is an understatement.
They better hurry this story arc up.
Find Sophie (alive, or dead, I really couldn't care less with either outcome), save Carl (again, I couldn't care less if he lives or dies), have Rick and Shane battle it out, and get this caravan moving.

At this point, the only real thing I'm interested in seeing is whether or not Daryl's brother comes back into the picture. That would be awesome!
Hopefully he and Daryl can kill everyone in this blubbering party and they can join forces with a bad@$$ gang and they can run amok over the country side killing zombies while terrorizing other useless groups of survivors that spend more time sniffing their own butts than doing anything even remotely entertaining.

                            Couldn't agree more.
While I don't expect endless scenes of exploding zombies, I didn't turn into this show to watch "Days of our lives".
I'm all for the dramatic, human element of shows, but my problem with TWD:S2 is that the drama they're feeding us is just flat out boring.

I almost fell off the couch laughing when they tried to make the scene where the doctor reveals himself to be a vet overly dramatic.
Really? Who cares? You're in a post-apocolypic scenario. Finding a vet for my dying boy would be like Fat Albert finding a half-eaten candy bar in the desert. And yet they make it seem like this is the worst turn of events ever.

They're missing the truly dramatic events.
If I was writing, I would have had Sophie die in Ep1. Rick is torn because he had to make a hard decision to leave her behind in order to save her life. It was the wrong choice, and now Rick has to live with that. At the same time, Sophie's mom loathes Rick and may do something crazy in order to exact revenge.
And how about continue the romance between Shane and Lori? She's confused because her relationship with Rick was bad prior to the outbreak and she fell in love with Shane.
Daryl secretly plots to kill T-Dawg for what he did to his brother.
Carl gets a new sweater. Because even the smallest events for Carl would upgrade his character's entertainment value.

It's quite obvious the writers only have a handful of decent ideas so they're drawing this out as much as they can. By the end of Season 2, I'd be surprised if you couldn't have condensed everything into 6 shows instead of 13.

Last night's episode wasn't my favorite but with the pace they are trying to set with the show, I can deal with it.

I really REALLY hate Lori. I didn't hate her like this in the comic, but I can't stand her on the show. Dale and Darryl are the only two characters I have liked almost non-stop since the show came about. I like Rick, but the acting is so hit or miss that it's hard to throw myself behind him.

Can't help but have a feeling that the Sophie situation is going to have a stupid resolution. I find it odd that Lori will jump on a horse with some random woman because she claims that her son is hurt but Carol is so nonchalant about finding her daughter.

Even with all of the issues the show may have, I still like it a lot. It's weird to actually look forward to Sunday nights.

Pacing wouldn't be a problem if the interactions and side-stories weren't so melodramatic.
