And they'd all be wrong. Getting a few shows brought back that it failed to save in the first place means nothing.

Not trying to be "politically correct."

You said "The show is about zombies," when, in truth, it is not. The show is about the characters (which include the kids) and their relationships/struggles/lives in general....the zombies are nothing more than a part of the setting.

I guess you really did not understand my post. The show is not well written. So im not watching the show because of the characters, relationships, etc...

The theme of the walker/zombie atmosphere is what got me watching the show in the first place. It is what makes the show entertaining to me. Its that simple.

If the show was about characters surviving from gang members i would probably not be watching it unless it was well written.

All these characters could be replaced, the show could actually only have 1 character and because of the walker/zombie setting it would have my interest.

Now taking it further, an episode could not even have a walker shown and still be compelling if it is written well. This is not about how much action is taking place on screen.

My post is like a metaphor for like lets get back to what got me watching the show in the first place. Instead of the mediocre scenes with these kids.

For what it is, i like it.Im more into the characters than the "OH gadz Zombiezz" though the show is kinda in a rutt now (why the **** did they have to get stuck?) but im sure it will pick up soon.

              Yeah...I'm kind of surprised.
Last year=this show is the greatest!
              This year=this show blows!
              (TWO episodes in!)

              What gives?

LOL! Hopefully people give this show a few more episodes before they decide to give up on it.

I can forgive the acting only because the kid who plays Carl is great. Fans of the comic will all agree that Carl is easily the best character. It is important that this kid rocks.

I think it's a pretty bad omen when this is "a show about the characters" and there are 1, maybe 2 characters I even remotely care about.

I'm not saying it has to be zombie attacks every 5 seconds. But there are a few characters who are potentially "likeable". I find myself wishing half of the main cast was killed off already.

They killed off the character I liked most in 3 episodes.

I read the wiki page for the comic. Looks like the action should be picking up soon.

That's a good point. The writing is suspect a lot of the time. I think this show falls under the danger of how many stories can you really tell in a zombie apocalypse?

You either create soap opera drama or you have zombies attacking. I'm hoping the series starts pushing for some sort of community organization.

I think they need to find another faction of people, create some drama there and also have people start seriously questioning decisions to a point where a sense of government becomes established. I'm thinking sort of Lord of the Flies or something.

It doesn't have to be the main story, but anything that would create a real dynamic between each person as they push for survival.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

The bad part about it all is that stories like that come along so far into the comic I doubt the TV show will last long enough to get to it. So we gwt what's happening on the show. Now personally I like it but I'm biased as I like the source material. The Farm has potential for good TV depending on how they run with it.

Either way even if I'm the only one left in the thread still watching at the end of the season so be it.

You won't be the only one. I love the show. It's a bit slow but I prefer that bit of storytelling.

The acting might not be great and the writing can be improved but I enjoy what I'm getting.
