Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
I've given up on the show. It's just not well written this year and seems too all over the place.
From all the people who left the show behind the scenes from last year to this, it's very obvious all the talent left the building.
As said earlier, I don't care about a zombie attack every few minutes, but if you're going to have a show all about the characters, then make me actually care about them. Everyone of them could die in the next episode but Daryl and I wouldn't care.
Plus you have so much stupidity going on that it makes my head hurt.
SpoilerThey never travel alone, but they send out 2 people, to go wandering through a forest? LMAO whatever, more signs of terrible, inconsistant writing.
Shane shooting Otis actually made sense and I kept waiting for it to happen. In fact, I knew it was going to happen after seeing them in the gym with the earlier forshadowing of him shaving his head looking all crazed, just didn't know when. Shane is the alpha-male, he would be a great character (obviously changed from the comic since he's still alive) if he had any reason to like him. Hell, I don't even hate him, because I would have shot fatty and left him for zombie food as well.
Would have been a better plot device to have Carl die. I mean, we're already off the comic storylines for the most part, so why not. He's another useless character and maybe it would give me a reason to care about Rick. But no, I still don't.
And the love triangle is back next week? Really gotta kill that angle, I don't think anyone cares. Maybe Shane and Lori can get it on in the forest and zombies can break it up killing them both. I can get behind that storyline.
In the end, it was a fun ride, but I'm done. I have better things to do with an hour each week than watching morons wander around forests or agonize over stupid decisions in a zombie apocolypse.
One great year doesn't make a great series... signed Heroes.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
Spoiler
Otis should have been wearing a star trek red shirt. Couldn't have been any more obvious what was going to happen there but at least it pushed some character development forward. Seems like they could have gotten to this point at the end of the 2nd episode without really missing out on much.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
It's not unlike the disease that causes people to buy the same sports game every year and then complain about it. It is a subject matter that many people love, but they find it has the potential to be so much better. The next one will be the one where they get things right.
If they couldn't move the plot forward this week, I would have stopped watching, but the Shane thing at least has me for another week.

I was just giving people a hard time.
People said they saw the Shane thing coming, I didn't. I liked it and I hope he becomes a loose cannon. When did Shane point a gun at Rick?Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
I actually enjoyed that episode last night. The pacing was done much better than the previous episode and it moved things forward significantly concerning Shane. It's helpful to know one's motivations behind their actions and I finally feel like Shane is there. Now, if only the other characters were there too.
It's obvious what they're doing with Glenn, but it could have been developed better before last night. Either way, Glenn manages to be a likable, underdog character no matter how much screen time he actually gets.
Lauri continues to piss me off by telling Shane to stay. WTF is she doing? Its bad enough that she's flip-flopping on what she has said to him, but combine that with the fact she is married and this bitch is just crazy. I'm sorry, Shane practically sacrificed Otis, but Lauri is a complete pyscho of a woman. It is weird some of the sides the writers take to try and make you empathize with a character, but Lauri and Suicide Girl are two characters I just cannot side with on anything.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
I just wish this storyline and the love triangle would go away. Maybe Daryl finds her as he's to a point now where he's either feeling sorry for the mom or just wants her to shut up. LOL! Other than that, I'm still enjoying the show and not just watching to watch like I do with wrestling.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
I was close last week jumping on this hate bandwagon and although the Shane act was great in the last episode, I have to jump on now. I could swear this is an ABC show or something this year as it is getting to that disappointment level like V and that other crap show where everyone blacked out and seen their future. Sucked so bad I forget the name...Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
Yeah, Merle has to come back at some point. Probably some sort of **** showdown with his brother. Make Daryl choose between the group where he's grown in to a leader, or his brother.
