Yeah, spoilering things that haven't actually happened yet should probably come with an additional disclaimer.

I absolutely despise "sneak peeks" and **** like that, never watch them.

I've learned to despise previews over the last few years even though I'm guilty of watching them. They seem to get worse and worse on a lot of shows I watch. They create such fud in many previews just to make things look so much more interesting.

Sorry about that. I'll put it in a spoiler next time.

The Walking Dead came back stronger than ever. Sunday’s season two premiere just rolled up 7.3 million viewers.

The 90-minute Walking Dead return is not only up compared to last fall’s Halloween-night debut, but it’s finale — so this is a series high.

Has it been said anywhere about how far this season will go? It's gotten hard to determine when/how something might happen in the show based on the comics. Too much has, or hasn't, happened already to make me skeptical about ever trying to make a definitive prediction about the TV show.

I know that I want more Glenn just because he is one of my favorite characters from the comic. Hopefully, this Carl stuff will lead to a little evolution for the characters.

I do not like how they are handling Andrea's character now, but give it time.

One thing that sucks with this show is that you have the TV series camps and the comic book camps. Those that have read the comic book want this to be exactly like the comic book. I am not saying that this is the case here at OS, but at a few other message boards you have people in an uproar that the show is not following the comics and an example is.........

                      Spoiler

It is hard to really appease both sides imo.

Question for those that have read the comics, is The Mayor and The Governor 2 different people? I keep reading about The Mayor in some place and The Governor at others.

You will always have that problem trying to appease the "established" fanbase and then the new media fan-base.

I love comics and I love good tv shows, but sometimes a good story just does not transfer from one form to another. The same can be said for the characters and their interactions.

It doesn't bother me when things differ so long as it advances the story or there is a reason for doing so.

I'm not saying the show is horrible in comparison, but it seems like the show is content with just letting the "side" characters flounder around as nothing is really done with them. That is an area where the comics definitely trump the show. The way Glenn, Andrea, and Dale (though Dale is pretty good in the show, definitely one of my favorites) are developed in the comics is something that could be done with a few scenes. At least show progress instead of having things go in circles.

They had the girl that plays Laurie on AOTS the other day and she said it's not like the comics because it'd "bore the living daylights out of people"

                          Here it is:

                            Really?

                            Wow...

That's a pretty foolish thing to say. The comics are masters of having everything settle down then BAM, zombie attack.

                            Whatever.

General question, but how good is this show? The sensational ratings (eclipsing Mad Men and Breaking Bad) have me interested.

I don't think it's as good as the relative ratings. I would say both MM and BB are better written and acted.
