Yep. The Personal Systems Group (PSG) includes those laptops, personal computers, workstations, phones, tablets, etc.

It's different from their Printing and Imaging group... So you can still get scanners/printers and all that stuff.

why buy a product if it will no longer be supported, this thing is dead soon with no support, I would stay away.

Words cannot express how mad I am at HP. How can a company that big have such a ****ty site? I've got to the submit button twice now, and each time its crapped out and left me with no order.

Their PC business is still alive, they are looking to spin it off into it's own entity, but they are still a year and a half away from any of that happening.

Sign up to be alerted when they come in stock. http://h41112.www4.hp.com/promo/webo...ilability.html

Also, after 10 hours of frustration, I finally got an order to go through!!! I got ripped off on shipping though, $21 for standard or $24 for 2 day so I chose 2 day. Total came to $131. I'm gonna go to RadioShack tomorrow morning right when they open to try to get one, and then cancel the other order.

the homebrew crowd might get android or even windows 8 on it someday, but even without that, there's no better tablet for $99. It'll still be a good e-reader, web browser, and video player even with no support. I believe it even has the same screen as the ipad 1.

Word on the web says that Best Buy has changed their minds and will sell their TouchPads instead of returning them.

I'm trying to decide if I care enough to go to BB when they open tomorrow. Given when this was announced, I suspect they'll be sold out already, but I might give it a try anyways.

Im sure Ebay will get flooded with these.

Looks like tablets have pushed netbooks to the brink of extinction.

I finally got one guaranteed from Amazon, $99 shipped. They had a lightning deal on it that lasted maybe a minute. Luckily my info was already on there so all I had to do was click 3 buttons.

The frenzy for the touchpad is only because it's a liquidation. There's obviously no room for a non ipad tablet, and no company will be able to put out a $99 tablet like the touchpad for a long time unless they like losing hundreds of millions of dollars. The screen on the touchpad costs $70 alone.

Maybe MS could pull off a competent W8 tablet and sell it at a loss, but I doubt it would touch $99.
