Might want to hurry up and snag a HP case. They are in stock at Amazon for $20. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846

I was able to score 1 from OnSale. They were sending out emails to people who had their orders cancelled. Email guaranteed you a TouchPad. :-D

If you want the easiest way of watching movies on the TP you will need to download the kalemsoft video player ($6.99). Plays most video formats. The one that comes with the TP is terrible....you'll spend hours converting videos to mp4.

I just got a brand new software update last night and a new free camera app as well.

                    Can someone explain this?

Somehow my HD-DVD player didn't explode after the format war. And even the movies still play.

That's not at all what I'm talking about, but thanks.

What I'm talking about is the fact that people said that HP was no longer going to touch this thing as they were out of the computer game completely. What you buy is what you get, and don't expect any updates.

I had one software update in the entire time I owned it, then all of a sudden I get a huge software update (from a company that was apparently done with this product). Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised and wanted to see if anyone knew what was up. Your analogy is apples and oranges since HD DVD players don't get software updates, and I never said my touchpad stopped working, or would stop working.

Got a 32 GB Touchpad on Woot Deals...wanted an android tablet, and gonna mess with CM9 and ICS on this over the weekend.

Anyone here still like the tablet? Any tips for WebOS? I'll be dual booting since it's an option. Installing the latest updates now...

No real tips, just throwing it out there that the android ports do have some bugs but for the most part things have gone just fine with mine. Only complaint would be the battery life could be a bit better but i've enjoyed my 100 dollar tablet a lot. I am currently running a version of CM9 and its set up to dual boot, never really used WebOS for anything more than facebook and web browsing though, it always stays on ICS.

Yeah, I know that the camera and mic don't work on ICS yet, and it'll be buggy, but I figured this was a better bet than some of the cheap tablets out there (Nook, Kindle, etc). Plus I can tinker with it more and get used to the CM world.

Glad to hear ICS is pretty good for you overall though, I wasn't sure how bad it was or not since it's still alpha

Overall its pretty darn solid, I rarely have freeze issues, and games run smooth on it. Its an enjoyable experience and the community working of ICS (the CM guys and the guys doing the nightly builds on XDA) are doing a phenomenal job getting it more stable every day.
