    House Season 8

The premiere is Oct. 3 and it looks like House is in prison. This makes sense as Cuddy is no longer in the show. I can't see how they'll use the old House formula of a new patient every week and the trial and error of diagnosis. I'm sure they'll bring that in every once in a while, but I'm hoping they change it up a bit.

I'm intrigued by the new season. Last year was a bit disappointing.

I also read that Hugh Laurie said that season 9 will be his last and that will likely spell the end of the show.

    Re: House Season 8

I believe that this season takes place a year after last season, which will probably be around the end of his prison stint (much like the rehabilitation facility he was in at the beginning of S6).

And Baughn, creator David Shore said that he wants the show to "go back to its old roots." It's obviously changed very much in style, even though it hasn't gone away from the POTW formula very much.

Personally, I just hope that House gets assigned much more clinic duty. It was one of the better things about the earlier episodes.

I don't know how I missed that. It's too bad, I was looking forward to a different setting, but I can imagine it would be tough to create an entire season around a prison setting.

Yeah those are the best scenes usually. I am curious how they explain Cuddy's absence and who the new hospital director will be.

Well, that's the glory about it being a year later, because a lot can change in that kind of time. Maybe if she's still seeing that guy her sister set her up with, and as a banker maybe he got relocated or something, and she followed him. Obviously, Cuddy might have wanted to switch environments, with or without House at Princeton-Plainsboro (especially if he was there now lol).

Lisa Edelstein (actress) moved on after negotiations to increase her salary failed, or something.

I think they wanted her to take a pay cut and she refused. Omar Epps and Robert Leonard (Wilson) agreed to pay cuts to stay on the show.

Just finished up season 7(thank you hulu). I thought the season was average. The last episode underwhelmed severely to me. Most of the season finales are intense cliff hangers, that one was just a regular episode.

I like how they're expanding Chase's character. If this season is going back to its "roots" than I look forward to it.

                      Re: House Season 8

Oh, I just wanted to mention that from the beginning of July until about the middle of August, I spent time re-watching every House episode in existence, from "Pilot" to "Moving On."

Not that I hadn't seen them all before, but I was just eagerly awaiting this next season. Plus, it's nice to see the development of characters (how Cuddy and Wilson have interacted with House throughout the years, etc.). It's been a good run thus far.

Well, my friend sent me a link to the first episode of the season, so I couldn't really say no to that.

Great kickoff to the season! I can't wait to see where it goes from here!

Don't really have an explanation as to why, but I didnt much care for the premier.

                            Also, boooo to no Cuddy.
