Re: Official Rock music thread
Interesting you like the chrous to that Garbage song. I like the non-chorus parts way, WAY more.Comment

It's not Velvet Revolver, Myles just does work on Slash's new album. Myles is on about 50% of it but wants to give the credit to slash so he left his name of the album. He is still working with Alter Bridge as well.Comment

Re: Official Rock music thread
Slash and Kennedy must have come to a different understanding.
The album has Myles's name on it and Myles sings on all the songs.
Here is a picture of the album with Myles name on it, plus I have the CD too.

Has anyone ever heard of Parabelle? It has the old lead singer of Evans Blue, Kevin Matisyn, as well as the producer/guitarist from Framing Hanley.
Here is probably my favorite song from them, but most of their work is good. Its a mix of some hardcore, some mellow, but great vocals regardless.

Re: Official Rock music thread
I don't watch Am Idol, but Aeorosmith premeired a new song and included a little ditty called Walk this Way.
Thoughts on Legendary Child.
I thought Perry had a nice solo.

Re: Official Rock music thread
I see that I definitely have a different taste in rock than a lot of you guys haha. Not that big a fan of rock and roll (though I like some of it), definitely more into the mellow, modern stuff. I also like Nickelback (Someday, When We Stand Together, If Everyone Cared, etc) and Creed (With Arms Wide Open, My Sacrifice, etc) lol. Really feeling Someone that I Used to Know by Gotye.
Any suggestions for this type of rock?
Also kudos for suggesting Spotify, using it has been a pretty big help. I don't even know my local rock stations (lol) so I've been able to listen to radio hits and stuff from spotify.Comment

Re: Official Rock music thread
Marcy Playground's first album is pretty good mellow rock. They have some mellow stuff on their subsequent albums too, like Good Times and Death of a Cheerleader, although they've got some more upbeat stuff on their later albums too, but they've never really been that heavy.Comment

Re: Official Rock music thread
If you're into mellower music, I suggest Death Cab For Cutie and Wilco. Wilco can have some snoozers, but they have alot a strong material as well.Comment

I haven't listened to them in forever, I think their debut is the only one I have, if that's the one with sex & candy, poppies, vampires of new york, and saint joe. Really liked it, figured it would be a weak album but was pleasantly surprised.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Official Rock music thread
I enjoyed a fair amount of Jet's material, but it's no wonder why the band called it quits after just three albums. Each got progressively worse than their debut, which had Cold Hard on it. Weren't a talented band by any means, but had some catchy material.Comment
