Re: Official Rock music thread
Absolutely. I was surprised to see that he doesn't have an album out yet. It's not often I'm awed by new music, but then I heard this:

Had it on repeat all day now.

A friend just won tickets to see Alter Bridge Thursday night. If everything works out, I'll be going. I haven't seen them live yet so I'm pretty excited.Alabama Crimson Tide

In my ripe ol' age of 33, concerts sound like more trouble than they're worth. I mean between the traffic, parking, crowds, and loss of money they're a bit much. Having said that I would deal with the "trouble" to see Alter Bridge.Battle.net: xXKING08Xx

Re: Official Rock music thread
The only thing I don't like at concerts are (college) kids on dates or in groups. A lot of the times they're there to hang out and act stupid and have no regards for what music is playing. At least that has been my experience around UVA.

Re: Official Rock music thread
All of my concert experiences have been good. They aren't huge bands or artists so people are there for the music and not the social aspect.
The worst part is the way everyone dresses. I never understood that. But if that's the biggest gripe I have then I can't really complain.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Scene kids.
Flannel and skinny jeans. Snap backs.
Every single person!
I feel like I'm the only person who just wears jeans and a band shirt or a random t-shirt.
I don't get why you have to dress that way if you listen to the music I do.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: Official Rock music thread
Wow. I remember reading that they had planned on doing an album and then one last tour, and I was hoping I'd get to go see them. But, when it comes to something like this absolutely move on. Like it said in the article, they can't tour without Malcolm.

Re: Official Rock music thread
The only group I can think of who stayed true to their roots, and didn't sell out to mainstream. Be it the grunge era, 80's hairband era, power ballads, etc, they never changed their look or sound to adapt.
They were just, "we're gonna keep going with what works, and our true fans will appreciate that".
Just look at the bands they've influenced thoughout the years. Just about every metal and rock band state them as influences.
Now, it's our turn to salute THEM!Comment
