They always had a Tool feel, but in sort of a mellow sense. I guess a perfect circle would be a better comparison eh :PWolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Official Rock music thread
It's been driving me crazy, but on the plus side, I did find a couple of solid classic rock stations to fill the void somewhat.
Anyhow, back to 10 Years, I absolutely love Beautiful, such a great song. But some of their stuff from the last album (Fix Me, Shoot It Out) has been good, I need to sit down and listen to that whole album sometime.MLB: Minnesota Twins
NFL: Philadelphia Eagles
NBA: Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves
European Football: Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion
NCAA: UNI Panthers, Iowa Hawkeyes

Re: Official Rock music thread
Also, whatever happened to Veer Union? When Seasons came out as a single, I thought for sure they'd have staying power and keep getting their songs major airplay, but it hasn't happened... at least not on the rock stations we have around hereMLB: Minnesota Twins

Re: Official Rock music thread
Anyone else dig 60s rock and oldies? My parents used to always have the oldies station on the car when I was a kid, not to mention my older sister was really big into the Beatles, The Monkees (my first concert back in 1996 haha) and a few other 60s groups when she was a teenager.
a younger cousin of mine texted me yesterday asking if I can send him some Bob Dylan, so I downloaded a greatest hits of his which got me in the mood for some of the oldies music and 60s rock I liked as a kid, so I'm going on a downloading spree hahaha.Last edited by bd007h; 05-18-2012, 11:46 PM.Comment

Blasphemy... Bob Dylan is one of the greatest songwriters ever. He was just cursed with one of the worst voices ever.

Re: Official Rock music thread
True, but only put out one good disc (the first Wallflowers). I've never understood why the two haven't done a disc together yet. Anyway's Bob's greatest hits is all I can stand in one sitting. I know he has like three of them, but the first one is the best. I'm always one for classic rock and or some oldies (Motown baby)!Comment

CCR
The Grass Roots
Guess Who
The Who
America
Crosby, Stills, Nash (& Young)

Velvet Underground
Also have some Elton John, Billy Joel, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Jim Croce, Simon and Garfunkle, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, James Taylor
Some stuff are full greatest hits albums and some groups I just have the few songs I know.
Also currently downloading a torrent a bunch of other oldies songs that aren't exactly rock.
Already have had for several years now pretty much everything by The Beatles and the Monkees thanks to my sister, as well as a lot of Pink Floyd and Zeppelin I've gotten myself.
As much as I love modern rock, punk, 90s alternative, metal, ska, etc, I'll always love me some classic rock, 70s folk rock and oldies. Also dig some 80s music too. My taste in rock is all over the map hahaComment
