Reel Big Fish also has a new album coming out on July 31st, but it's already been sold at shows so there's a rip floating around the net. In my opinion they've kinda been going down-hill lately though.
For the first time in 4-ish years I listened to Atreyu's "Lead Sails, Paper Anchor" all the way through. Took me back to when that was my favorite album and never left my cd player. I even enjoyed the couple of tracks that I would have skipped back then. I love nostalgia.

The ingredients are familiar, but Handwritten still sounds amazing — all blood and guts, life and death, youth and danger, wistful memories and thwarted lust. If there were a psychotropic drug that made users feel like James Dean, this album would render it redundant.
I can't remember if it was mentioned before or not but anyone listen to Baroness? I've just been introduced to them through a leak site and I'm diggin 'em.

I just recently got into The Gaslight Anthem. I had only known the song "The 59 sound" and the new one "45", but when I heard they were one of the bands playing at Bonzai fest in Rochester on July 28th with 3 other bands I already like (The Offspring, Our Lady Peace, and Eve 6), I decided to venture into them more, and I love them now.
Metal fans, Fozzy has released a new single and it is wonderful, wonderful? Yeah! Wonderful! It's called Sandpaper and it features guest vocals from M. Shadows of Avenged 7fold. Go check it out.

Honestly, I've always thought Gaslight Anthem were kind of "blah". I'll be checking out the new album like I have the others, but there's just something about them that doesn't really grab me.

I know they don't want to admit it, but the first time I heard them yesterday, I thought of a heavier sounding Springsteen.
