Midtown was such a good band. Shame their singer had to go and form Cobra Starship after they disbanded . Their guitarist joined Senses Fail for a few years though, which is a guilty pleasure of mine haha
I mean wow, talk about 3 completely different bands.

I got to hear the entire new Stone Sour album today, it definitely did not disappoint. I cannot wait til it comes out next week so I can hear it again. Tired really stuck out to me during the listen.
Finch just announced that they are reuniting for a one time show in Pomona for what would have been their 10th anniversary. Said they will play WIITB in it's entirety, but I really hope they play more than just that. Their other work was so much better.

Nah, Finch should stay broken up. They won't touch their other stuff. Right time, right place moment. What It Is To Burn was perfect.
Meh. To each their own. I always thought WIITB was too radio friendly, and that they used it to get their name out there. SHTS actually sounded original. Their later work always reminded me of bands like Hum and Far.

SHTS (lol) didn't hit me like WIITB, probably because it wasn't the same. I'm in to that more generic rock/punk rock/post hardcore or whatever Finch is classified as sound. Not ashamed to admit it. Though I love "Ink" and "Miro" a lot, the whole WIITB album is kickass.
Got me to thinking of other nearly flawless albums. Brand New's "Your Favorite Weapon" came on my shuffle this morning. THAT is an all-timer.
NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Don't get me wrong, I loved both of their albums. I just really liked the originality of SHTS (I didn't realize how funny that looked until I typed it earlier), and their later EPs.
Anyway, got my ticket for their reunion show this morning. SO stoked about this. February can't come soon enough.
Last night, my friend had an extra ticket for Motion City Soundtrack, so I went with her. Has anyone ever heard of Jukebox, the Ghost? They were the opener, and they absolutely blew us away. One of the most entertaining bands I've ever seen. I really hope that they stick around for a while. They kinda remind me of Fun meets Ben Folds.
