New Blink-182 EP came out this week. First half of it sounds exactly like what I would expect +44 and AVA to sound like together. Last couple songs are pretty so-so.

Rancid just released a new single too.

Sounds like it's going to be an interesting year for punk rock.

Maybe it's just me, but with with all of the Blink member-related bands, the actual Blink 182 band didn't need reunite. There's +44, Angels & Airwaves, Boxcar Racer, Aquabats, and probably more too. That's a lot of band for 3 dudes. I guess it's nostalgia, but that genre is a lot more watered down then it was back in the day. I respect Blink because they were one of the first, but I don't really listen to them anymore like that.

So, I'm having I hard time making a new CD for the car.. because I'm bored of playing the same ones over and over now.

I'm hoping a few guys here will post about 20 or so songs, or bands, each that I can take a look at and put a CD together. I'm looking for some Hard Rock, some Metal if that's something you listen to as well.

Not sure how many people know about this band, they're heavy but experimental. Hard to label, sort of an older BTBAM vibe, but the cleans remind me of Alice in Chains so I wanted to share:

Can't go wrong with Trivium for the rock/metal.

I know I'll for sure have Volbeat's "A Warrior's Call" on it. I haven't had time to go through a lot of their stuff, but if it's anything like "A Warrior's Call", I know I'll love them.

Check out "Caroline Leaving", "Who They Are" and "7 Shots." If you're into the heavier stuff, "Evelyn" has some killer riffs.

Whoa, if Soupy's cameo in Mixtapes' "Mt. Hope" is a sign of things to come on The Wonder Years new album due out in spring/summer 2013, I'm more excited then I thought. He kills it on just two lines.

Not surprising. They've been on auto-pilot for awhile now. I'll still give it a listen.
