It's not that bad, imo. They have a 36 week window to fill with 24 episodes. They're going to run through November, and have a full run in Feb, to that leaves 9 episodes to go between Dec, Jan, Mar, April, and May. There's not really anything that can be done about it. It's either take a month off here and there, or a couple weeks off a little more often. Every show has episodes spaced out. Maybe it's just because this series has a larger story arch that it's more noticeable since you're waiting to see what happens next.

They could easily run it for 24 weeks with a few off here and there, like 4 max. Then start a new series for the rest of the weeks, but networks would rather show reruns and screw the schedule up.

Great episode and probably the funniest of the season in terms of the jokes actually hitting. In that regard it felt a lot like an episode from the earlier seasons IMO.

Looking forward to the last 2 episodes in 2 weeks.

People find out Barneys wife
Lily has her baby(and I've been saying it from the moment he died...they'll name their kid after Marshalls dad)

They said Ted met his wife at Barneys wedding, I'm guessing they won't reveal it on the finale, but he'll see her and the viewers won't get to see who she is until September.

They said Ted met his wife at Barneys wedding, I'm guessing they won't reveal it on the finale, but he'll see her and the viewers won't get to see who she is until September.

I think its time for them to meet. Ted getting new girlfriends doesn't have any relevance anymore. The next women who comes into his life HAS to be the mother or else you ruin the series. I think the episodes when Ted dated Zoey were horrible because we knew she wasn't the mother. Same goes for "the mother's roommate" (I forget her name) but even that was entertaining because I was curious to see if we would see her or what information we would find out.

The show is great. If you want to have more seasons then fine. I'm all for watching the show as ted and the mother are dating.

Isn't the daughter from the "future"(2030) born in 2014 or something? So they'd have to have some sort of story by then.

How long has it been since Ted dated that girl that he went out with and found out they went out and had the exact same date several years ago. That'd be an interesting thing to do for 1 episode, maybe they meet up again and he thinks she's in same situation as him, but finds out she's married too(like victoria).

Next season, they really have to start wrapping up all the unfinished stories.

They did the star wars trilogy every three years, so the daughter is born in 2015. So, if they wanted to go that far, the mother would probably get pregnant right around the time of the 9th season finale, which would almost certainly be the series finale if they don't end it next year.

I thought that Lily and Marshall decided on Jamie as the name of their first born or was that episode before Marshall's dad died?

Edit - Nevermind I forgot that at the end of that episode Lily vetoed Jamie because of one of her students.
