Price and the fact that its Android makes it a buy for me. Why spend 3x time the price when you can get this gem!!

Hopefully modders can get their hands on customizing this thing the day it comes out!

Just preordered, I'm sure it will be sold out. If I don't need it I'll just sell it.

If you pre-order now, does it charge you now?

eh, I have an ipad, and Apple has the best app/game market for tablets, period. It was worth the purchase to me alone. Plus it's got a better screen, better processor, better multitouch, and a proper tablet OS.

Android needs a killer tablet to get tablet app support up past stuff like Angry Birds HD, but this Amazon tablet won't even be running Ice Cream Sandwich and may end up causing even more fragmentation in the Android app ecosystem. It's also more of a real competitor to the Nook than the ipad, but will destroy every non ios tablet out there though, and will be a great present for the holidays.

I just pre-ordered as well. This pretty much means the end of all other tablets not named iPad. At $200, I don't see their margins being too large, but as a consumer, I'm thrilled!

Amazon will benefit from people using their ecosystem for movies, music, books, apps, etc. Companies like Samsung, Motorola, or HTC don't have that luxury with their tablets.
