You can go to https://play.spotify.com/ and use the web client, or use the desktop client if you have it downloaded. It will sync to your phone. Not exactly sure what you mean though.

Re: The Audiophile Thread
Like if you've already bought songs in the past from itunes and have it on your phone and never had spotify before, that once I get spotify, I can get those songs from my phone into my spotify playlist. You can go to https://play.spotify.com/ and use the web client, or use the desktop client if you have it downloaded. Re: The Audiophile Thread
Speaking of Spotify what is the deal with when you are in a game on the PS4 and try to play Spotify and it says the scene is blocked?
I realize that for some scenes in games they don't allow Spotify and all but my last couple of games, Nioh and Horizon Zero Dawn, it ALWAYS says that.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: The Audiophile Thread
You should be able to set a folder or folders as your library. If they're the same as what's on Spotify I don't think you'll be able to differentiate them.
Its under Local Files in Preferences. I don't know which file types are supported.

Re: The Audiophile Thread
There is a way to have local files show up. Couldn't tell you where in the settings it is.Comment

Picked up some blue tooth headphones and kinda missed having heavy bass headphones so went with the Sony MDR XB950BT headphones due to reviews.Comment

Re: The Audiophile Thread

Decided to snag this from BB deal of the day and was needing a little help.
This is my first time venturing into a receiver for the cave and was wondering what all do I need to run my PS4 Pro, X Slim, Samsung tv? Do I run everything through the receiver? Any recommendations on speakers? Will also be adding a Samsung 4K standalone player so would I also run that through the receiver? Last questions would Bose Acoustimass 6 Speaker system be a viable option with this setup?
Thanks in advance

Around $500 range is where I would like to be. Not set in stone.

Re: The Audiophile Thread
Scott is the expert, but here is my opinion anyways
Run all of your devices through the receiver. Then the receiver just simply connects with an HDMI cable to the TV.This is my first time venturing into a receiver for the cave and was wondering what all do I need to run my PS4 Pro, X Slim, Samsung tv?

Is the X Slim the Xbox One S? If so why buy a standalone 4K player? Will also be adding a Samsung 4K standalone player so would I also run that through the receiver?
No. Invest in new speakers. For $500 I'd stick with a 2.1 setup (left, right, sub) and upgrade to a full 5.1 when more budget becomes available. Entirely personal preference though you could do 3.0 also.Last questions would Bose Acoustimass 6 Speaker system be a viable option with this setup?Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 06-16-2017, 12:06 PM.Comment

Re: The Audiophile Thread
Agree with pretty much everything. However I would go with the Sony X800 UHD player, it's superior to the Xbox One S player or any other player not named Oppo.Scott is the expert, but here is my opinion anyways

As far as speakers go, for $500, the best you could do so far is 2.0 in which i would go with these towers.
