Looking for advice . Just bought the Sony 900h great tv but sound isn’t good .

Wanted to a decent sound bar . Watching movies , gaming , and music playback . looking to spend 100-150$.

I’ve been thinking about the Yamaha built in subwoofer . I would like less clutter . The 1080 is 116 on Amazon

Not gonna find an audiophile grade sound bar for $100-$150, you really need to find a 3-channel sound bar.

        Re: The Audiophile Thread

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a generalist pair of headphones and I’m not real knowledgable about this stuff. Not looking to buy an amp or anything to get the most out of them. Just want to plug into my PS4 controller, Mac and phone. I listen to a variety of genres while I’m working on my computer and some sessions are 8-12 hours long, so I need them to be comfy. The space I’ll use them in is quiet and it doesn’t matter if sound is pouring out of them.

If I wanted perfection it seems I’d need to buy multiple products or spend way more than I’m willing to, so I know there will be some drawbacks going with a do it all set. Budget is around $150 and under.

Oh, and as far as gaming goes I do not need or care to have a mic. I was looking hard at gaming headsets but because I don’t need a mic, it seems like regular headphones could be the better buy considering how much music I’ll listen to as well.

So far the Sennheiser HD559 headphones ($100) caught my eye. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah those are good, i also recommend at your price point the classic Audio Technica ATH M50x. I use these the most with my pc and work great with consoles. I don't use them with a cell phone because mine does not have a phone jack but if you yours does then they work great and you don't need an amp.

They also are great for editing stuff, listening to music, i also game with them as well, just overall my most used headphones.

If you do decide to get them and the comfort level is not where you want it, you can buy thicker ear pads from Amazon and they feel amazing. The earpads actually started cracking after a year which is one of the cons but its not big deal to buy replacement parts for that, cords and headband because they are so popular.

Idk where to start, I was just gonna buy a receiver and start connecting wires and go from there. Can anyone tell me where to begin ?

You need a receiver plus some sort of universal remote.

Yeah a receiver and maybe a subwoofer if you don’t have one. How big is the room it’s playing in?

Does anyone have any wireless earbud recommendations? Looking for some with warm weather coming up - would probably use them more for basketball, hiking, mowing, etc. I'm trying not to break the bank, but would appreciate a good quality pair to replace my wired ones I have currently.
