How good is "The X-Files"? Was there ever a "jump the shark" or decline in quality over the history of the show?

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
If you like shows like Fringe, Haven, or Warehouse 13 then you should give it a go. For me it's one of the top ten shows of all time.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Season 8 and Season 9 were tough because of the limited number of appearances by David Duchovny, and jump the shark is kind of tough thing to apply to this kind of show because of the very nature of the sub-genre. All manner of supernatural/conspiratorial/extra-terrestrial storylines were always in play.

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
I'm working on season 2 of Peaky Blinders (which is phenomenal) and also started watching Royal Pains (drastically different, but it's a pretty fun show so far).
