I agree. That's why I don't even bother with reviews. It always seems like a certain trend either way starts and then everybody else jumps on the bandwagon.
I know it shouldn't bother me but armchair critics dive me ****ing insane. Oh well.

It's definitely a lighter show than the others.
We aren't talking rape or systematic racism which seemed to play a role in Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.
This is a show is about distrust between a bunch of rich people. It's easy for me to see how many might be disappointed because it lacks the grit of the others. But it's still an interesting show and I like the main character.
I do think there's a bit of logic failure especially from one character that seems more interested in finding out how badly things can go instead of just ending things as soon as possible.

Eh....I guess. I'm not totally knocking RT. I've used it in the past when I didn't know what I wanted to watch and sorted by highest rating, obviously, until I found something that sounded good. I just don't think the criteria to become a "critic" in this day and age is all that hard. I also feel as though many have agendas. Sure I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. I just find it funny when I see people basing their entire ideas about a movie or show off a RT score. Not that anybody here was doing that. This is just kind of a pet peeve that bugs me is all. I'm also pretty easy to entertain and usually never go into movies or shows looking for plot holes, unrealistic things, etc. If I decided to watch something then obviously something about it was intriguing enough to warrant my interest. Plot holes be damned. Maybe it's because I've worked in a retail environment my entire career and I here people complain all the time about the most mundane things. Which is ironic because it sounds like I'm complaining here lol
. I think I just don't get it that's all.
As for Iron Fist I'm 4 episodes in and I'm am enjoying the hell out of it which in the end is all I care about. My enjoyment.Comment

Chappelle's new comedy special The Age of Spin at the Palladium in Hollywood is excellent. Some of his best material yet and he looks like he's doing real good, too. Yeah, I just watched it, you would expect the material to fairly different from before given what he's seen in going from a 30 year old to a 42 year old, but as you say, it is stylistically a quintessential Dave Chappelle performance. I'm going to watch the second show tomorrow.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Just got done with his second new show, Deep in the Heart of Texas, and I think you'll find it more similar to his older slapstick material. Let's just say he riffs about a word that's 5 letters and ends in U-S-S-Y...for what seemed like 20 minutes. lol. More great stuff. I was just coming on to post the same thing. The Austin show is definitely more old school Chappelle. More in the vein of Killing Them Softly. The Austin show was 2015 and the L.A. show was 2016. If I had know that I would have watched the Austin one first. I liked them both, but the L.A. show was much better, IMO. I get the feeling that going forward, most of his shows will be like the L.A. show stylistically.Jordan Mychal Lemos

What's good to watch on Netflix
You can actually catch shows like the Texas one on YouTube. I'm talking about recent shows within in the last 2-3 years.
I heard the story about his Kid crying in school during his NY Performance and it's still just as funny. Both of these 2 were hilarious and I can't wait for the next one to come out.
For those interested, there's also a documentary on Netflix about AAU called "At All Costs". Definitely worth a watch as it follows one of the top programs in the country and also talks about the reality of what AAU Ball is nowadays.#RespectTheCultureComment

The Catch is a light drama, but very slick and rarely dull-better than ever in season 2. Mireille Enos and Peter Krause have tons of chemistry.Comment
