Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
The Impossible ..... very hard to watch in parts. I'd almost rather watch a horror movie, which I don't any longer. Real life trauma seems much more difficult to watch. I have no idea how they went about recreating this tsunami event. Very good cast with a young Tom Holland showing his very competent childhood acting skills. You can't go wrong with Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor either.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Just finished up Santa Clarita Diet. I thought it was pretty damn good. Always liked Drew Barrymore and was surprised at how funny Timothy Olyphant is. Solid show all around. Also the daughter is a great character as well with her and the neighbor having good chemistry. Thought it was a fun show.

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
I liked the first episode of Iron Fist.
That being said, the special effects work was very weak. Very awkward character movements during two jump scenes. They both look like they told the main actor to just stand there while they lift him up.
In one scene there's zero momentum. So it looks like he just blasts off into the air.
I expect better from Netflix and Marvel. But I like the story and I don't find the main character to be bad at all. Maybe that changes."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
