If you're into like true crime and documentary stuff check out Making a Murderer. Went up today. It's about a murder case that happened like 45 minutes from my home and it's pretty weird and comprehensive.

I've never facepalmed watching something more in my life. They should keep all video cameras away from the region we grew up in. If people thought Fargo's accents were exaggerated, just show them this.

Omfg, was about to fall asleep and 10 last night, threw this on, was still awake at 7am watching it. My lord I've never felt ill from watching something in my life. I feel like this documentary is going to change something, like it's going to get huge, and we are going to see something come of it. We have to see something come of it, this is America.

The two investigators that got the confession out of Brendan are truly vile human beings. I've never been so sick watching something in my life.

I didn't like them either, and I know he had a 70 IQ, but he did say a lot. Similar things went down in the HBO Paradise Lost trilogy.

Yea I was talking to my cousin about this docuseries. And he brought that case up, and it is a little similar to this one. For those wondering that case is about the Memphis 3.

At this point, I'd like to see all of the evidence. This documentary only showed the evidence the defense contested and sensationalized a couple things that ended up being not so huge.

The blood sample being opened and having a needle hole in the top, for example.

Now that this is out there, I'm sure someone who has more time than I do will put something together showing everything. There's a lot of good debate going on at reddit. Also, if you go there, someone found a 3-part YouTube video by a guy who was one of the first on the scene at the original sexual assault. This was posted back in November - before this came out - and just adds another layer to what was going on in the Manitowoc area.

I'm not pro-law enforcement. I just go case by case. It's my belief everybody should have that view!

The series isn't going to be eye opening to me. The first episode wasn't a shock based on the human element and lack of forensic evidence in the past. It was a horrible episode for what happened.

I'd love to start a series showcasing all the criminals who are let off the hook who are guilty!!!!!!!! *Not the way shown in the first episode*

Your mind would be blown if you saw how many cases are thrown out for the dumbest thing or how a guy can commit 20 serious crimes and have it consolidated into 1 and get probation.

This stuff is absolutely blowing my mind and is super entertaining. At the same time it's depressing that what looks to be the case is severe corruption. It's an organized crime ring at this point. If it turns out to be as corrupt as it looks, I hope those LEO's rot in jail cells forever. It's not even possible to do what they are doing in today's world. If I turn in property I have no idea where it even goes. Plus we have an intense internal chain of custody log. On Branden...poor kid. It's disgusting to see how they treat him and force feed him things to say. The world is just slanted against certain socioeconomic groups. That's the harsh reality.

We binged watched this mostly over Christmas Eve and Christmas night and it was both amazing and disgusting to watch.

I obviously don't know if Steven killed Theresa or not, however in my opinion the state definitely didn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he did it. I mean, they guy is apparently smart enough to kill someone and get rid of all of the the blood spatter and DNA evidence, but is dumb enough to leave his own blood in her car that was "hidden" with a few branches (with a car crusher available)? I could go on and on (the key that was mysteriously found with only Steven's DNA, the bullet, etc.) but I'll stop there.

Brenden "confession" was the worst thing about the documentary for me. When someone confesses to those things, then still ask if they're going tobe able to leave and go back to school it just goes to show you that they really have no idea what they're saying. I think Brenden was just agreeing with whatever the investigators were saying so he could go home. The second interrogation done by this attorneys special investigator was deplorable as well. His first attorney was a POS.

I don't know all of the laws and stuff, but I'd like to see them both get another trail somewhere where away from Wisconsin. Mainly because I think a lot of the jury had their minds made up before the trail even started and I don't think the judge there is on the up and up either. I'd also love to see a similar documentary, but from the prosecutions POV.
