Re: What's good to watch on Netflix

It feels super weird. I had paid zero attention to Making a Murderer (like, I saw it on the dashboard but never looked at it.)

Friend told me that it was really good and to watch it, so I read a synopsis. I remember everything about this like it was yesterday. It was on the news all the time (both him getting out of jail, which was around my freshman year of high school) and the murder/trial (which were my senior year/freshman year of college.)

Craziness, time to re-live those days of seeing it on the news all the time (since I'm from ~30 minutes away from where it happened, and small cities and all.)

Was pretty much the exact same for me.

It's weird, I feel like we have to watch it in a different way than everyone nationally does.

Seeing Bill Jartz and Cami Rapson brought me back.

I mean, I still have no idea if he is innocent or guilty... but I think everyone can see he was wrongfully convicted and deserves (at the very least) a re-trial.

Not gonna get started on Dassey either.

Stumbled onto BBC's Luther. Really enjoying it so far-- couple episodes into Season 2. The oddball relationship between Luther and Alice is a nice touch.

I've been getting into the nature documentaries, I think the one I watched recently is just called Planet Earth and has like 8 different episodes based on geography.

Pretty amazing stuff. The deep sea/underwater footage is my favorite

Watch Life once you finish Planet Earth. Easily 1a and 1b in terms of nature docs.

Attenborough narrates both. Also Blue Planet, again with Attenborough from BBC.

Definitely give Blue Planet a watch then if you like the undersea stuff. It follows the same vein as Planet Earth with each episode focusing on a different area like the deep sea or tidal flats.

Nature docs are my most watched thing I think. Anything with Attenburough is good. Beyond those uber already mentioned, Life of Mammals and Life of Birds come to mind but are starting to get a little dated.

Not Attenburough narration but Human Planet is also a great BBC/Discovery production. Oh, and The Secret Life of Plants and Microcosmos are amazing simply because most people don't take notice of the little things under their feet.

I think I watched these shows on Netflix, but I can't remember the name of them. They show what would happen is certain events occurred. One was about quickly we would all go if the sun died. One was about the world population tripling overnight, how it would affect. One was about how the world would look if there was never any humans. I think it was a 5 part series. Any idea?

It's sounds similar but it's not Life After People. That goes to different locations around the world and shows how cities or structures would decay and return back to nature if people just disappeared one day.

That's pretty to much what I did. After the unique prison atmosphere wore off I got tired of the women problems.

First season was good. I couldn't get halfway through the second. The Australian women's prison drama Wentworth (three seasons on Netflix) makes OITNB look a like a slumber party.

                                It was this...

Aftermath is a four-part 2010 documentary television series created by History Television Canadian station, airing in the United States on the National Geographic Channel, and produced by Cream Productions.
Aftermath consists of a series of "experiments" looking at what would happen if planetary conditions changed drastically, within our lifetime. The series is a follow-up to the TV special Aftermath: Population Zero.
In 2010, the series was nominated for a 2010 Gemini award for best documentary.[1]
