No argument there, I just thought they might have referenced the show's genesis.

Your post lead me down a rabbit hole of looking back on network programming schedules in the 80's and 90's. Really interesting to see how networks set up their weeks back then.

Yeah, different ballgame. I forget when Friday started becoming a graveyard, but it seemed liked it coincided with the decline of Dallas as a powerhouse, which might have been the most successful Friday night show ever.

Yeah it was just a 180 from anything ever seen before.

OK Bloodline season 2 had some bumps but it was still a good ride. Very much worth watching, and I can't wait for season 3. (of course I'll have to wait for a renewal)

The poorer half of the Bridges brothers (Beau) is great in a recurring role.

David Zayas (Angel- Dexter, Oz) makes everything look easy but that's why he's so good.

Kyle Chandler (who I didn't see in Friday Night Lights) kills it again.

Don't get turned off by SOME reviews. It picks up steam gradually and simmers to a worthy binge watch.

I've watched 6 episodes and I think it's just as good as season one.

Watched Dark Matter Season 1 the last few days, was pretty decent. Looking forward to Season 2, and glad it was renewed by SyFy. Too many great sci-fi shows go way of the Dodo too often, and far too soon. I guess if you are not the umpteenth teen vampire show out there, it gets tough, lol.

I might be in the minority but I preferred it to season one. Those siblings are something else.

                  Glad to hear it.
The wife and I simply loved Season 1.
We're 2 episodes into Season 2 and we like it. Not as much as S1 so far, but definitely digging it.
I think what pulled us into S1 so deeply was the flashforwards.
An example would be when the sister gets a call from Danny while looking at a dead body in the trunk of her car.
You knew there were big revelations coming, but no idea how they were going to get there.

In Season 2, it seems more straight-forward. You're not getting those same, short glimpses into the future where say Character X is lying dead in a ravine, or Character B is seen coercing with a known bad guy.

But it's still very good. Glad to know that it gradually picks up steam.
I would put Season 1 of Bloodline against any other award winning series such as Game of Thrones or The Wire.

BTW, Scream Season 2 starts today in Canada.
                    I know, I know. I'm a girl for liking Season 1. But I can't help it.
It'll never win any awards, but Season 1 was great for it's simplicity and fun.

That wasn't the main draw for me.

I like the focus on the three siblings more than the season 1 focus on Danny, and Ozzy Delvecchio is a pretty interesting villain. Bottom line I couldn't stop watching and they have set up a season three spectacularly. (IMO)

I liked season one a lot, especially towards the end. I'm looking forward to season two.

Documentary Now! has had me rolling the last two nights. Stumbled upon it (hadn't heard anything about the series) and I'm glad I did. For those that don't know, the series parodies famous documentaries, with Bill Hader and Fred Armisen starring in the episodes. Seth Myers and others affiliated with SNL are writers/producers, too.
