Re: What's good to watch on Netflix

Good article on a study that Netflix just did on binge watching.
We fly through thrillers like Bloodline but watching House of Cards takes time because there's so much going on and we discuss it.
For her, because she's not much of an irreverent comedy viewer like I am, she tells me she needs a break after an episode of Kimmy Schmidt, blaming its comedic style.
I do wonder how Netflix tested Orphan black when it's not streaming on the site. I started it this past weekend on Amazon prime."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

So I guess Netflix cherry picked where it needed."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
I think this has been mentioned in this thread before, so I apologize in advance, but just want to point out that I just saw Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is up on Netflix (I was under the impression that it went away and now has come back, but I could be wrong) again and if you haven't seen it, it's phenomenal. IMO the best animated superhero movie so far."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

I'm a bit angered that Voltron has not showed up for me, but glad that Bob Ross is now on netflix and I calm down. Happy white clouds, happy white clouds.Comment

Found Volton and its been great. I'm on 6 and love its about building the team and not having be monster of the episode vs Voltron every episode. Its building a fun story and the characters are funny.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Finally finished Bloodline Season 2.
Spoiler
Really liked it, but I have no clue where they're going with it.
Seeing Kevin bash in Diaz' skull certainly was a huge game changer. And is John seriously saying "Eff it!" and letting his siblings deal with all this crap?
It's like his flashback with Danny where he tells John he's going to do and be what he wants to be.
Perhaps John is taking that advice now? He's been keeping the family together for years and he's finally reached his breaking point.
I read today that Bloodline is the #1 digital show being viewed on the internets.
That bodes well for a Season 3. I'll be TICKED if this show isn't renewed.
Bloodline is right up there with Game of Thrones and Ray Donovan IMO.

Netflix will figure it out. It's a hit show. And money talks."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
After Season 3 of The 100 ended and I caught up completely on Vikings, I decided to start watching Friday Night Lights. It's a pretty good show about 6 episodes into Season 1. I've been trying to bounce back and forth between Netflix and Amazon Prime watching shows.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
I'm optimistic about a season three, but because of Florida lawmakers' refusal to continue the state's tax incentives program Bloodline (And Ballers) will likely have to find a new locale or cease production altogether.

Would be a shame if both got axed due to tax reasons.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
I watched bits and pieces of S1 of Bloodline but this second season has totally gripped me.
Someone said its like True Detective S1 was, and I agree but it comes without the "supernatural" elements. And without Woody and Matt. Kyle Chandler and Linda Cardellini (John and Meg) are great. On the edge of my seat to finish up the last few episodes.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds
