"AMC put up an episode of Breaking Bad that will probably win this year’s Peabody. “Fly” was part chamber piece, part slapstick comedy and completely "" kick ***." SPINETINGLER MAGAZINE

A fascinating episode which gave hardcore fans a huge amount to chew on. I think it could make for hard work for someone not as invested in the show. It’s not filled with new revelations which feel significant either. It’s more a crystallisation of Walt’s state of mind and for me very satisfying. TV Critic.org
"We kill the fly, or we're dead."
This episode is brilliant. I was sort of dreading it, but it was even better than I remembered. DOUX REVIEWS
I’m breaking (as it were) with precedent and offering a preview-review of tonight’s Breaking Bad, because it’s so good, I’d be shocked if both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul don’t use the episode for Emmy consideration. There’s more on TV tonight than Lost, folks. Entertainment
Breaking Bad is a show that actively defies convention and "Fly" was a perfect example. Using two characters and a single setting, the bare simplicity was able to convey more than most shows do in a season.

I know it’s a real fan divider. People love it or hate it. And I LOVE it. You know why? Because this is the only episode, ever, in the whole show that I almost turned off because I just couldn’t keep watching. So many episodes have been so intense that I would have to soothe myself by naming the elements during the credits or something–a sign of a really great series, no doubt. But this is the only episode that I thought I couldn’t watch. It was that good. EMILIA JORDAN
