Re: What's good to watch on Netflix

Just finished up season two of Bloodline.

Season 3 can't get here any sooner.

I'm starting to enjoy the Nolin character.

Danny must be laughing in his grave.

No one in Indiana around XMAS time has their pool open! lol
Yeah, that one went over my head. I don't think anyone was even shivering.

No there were not at all.
With me being from Indiana my first thought when they showed the pool open and clean in the winter in December was... Seriously??
You aint getting in no pool in the dead of winter in Indiana. lol

And they are dressed like it is spring or early fall in Indiana.
They constantly show them outside not wearing jackets or just light jackets.
I don't know why but that really bugs me! lol
You are not jumping in a pool in the winter time in Indiana.
The main reason is the pool would be empty with a cover on it, and if it wasn't you would freeze to death. They stayed in the pool for a long time and just casually got out of it!
Also everything is way too green to be Indiana in the wintertime. Many of the trees they show still have green leaves on them.
And I know it is shot in Georgia and not Indiana but it says they are in Indiana.
I know, I know nit picky!
It threw me off at first as well.

I always thought it started early Fall judging by the colors and the leaves still being on the trees, but then it progresses towards Christmas time. Didn't they mention the pool was 'heated'? Not sure if I misremembered or not.

But I know what you mean about the gafs in shows. Narcos, while great, is littered with them with having modern weaponry kit, electronic devices, clothing in the early 80's era. Threw me off for a bit.

For the most part, they do a great job on everything else in Stranger Things. One of the better jobs done on an era setting show.

Agreed! I am also warming up to Nolin. And that Season 2 ending tho! One of the better Season Finales out there. As I mention before, even my GF who was not as into it as I am went,

I can't recall but were 80s films similar?

Maybe it's a nod to films being shot in LA but taking place elsewhere.

No one has heated pools open in the winter time in Indiana even if they did mention it being heated. Trust me, we had a heated pool when I was going up but it was more so we could open it up earlier and keep it open later...Not have it open in December. It just doesn't work, all of you lines would freeze up including the filtration system.
Besides they would have absolutely froze getting out of a heated pool in December in Indiana. lol

Not shocking, that thing was a bonafide hit.

Interesting it'll continue to follow Avery.

It's crazy, have a show based around you, and suddenly you may get a shot at getting out of jail AGAIN. Wish we could just get it right the first time!

I'm guessing the prosecutors/state will decline to participate in this one too.

Oh I understand that. I just assumed the show started earlier than December in the timeline, since there were still leaves on the trees and they have not fully reached fall colors yet.

I would not have been as shocked if it was about someone else.

But the same person is where I was caught a little off guard. Is there new evidence on either side? The prosecution's lack of cooperation shows lack of confidence in their evidence and wanting to not be exposed, at least to me.

I am definitely interested at what will transpire, because nothing has hit the news yet, so maybe they have stuff to break this open again.

I still think the dude who tried to sell his sons .22 cal rifle within hours of the supposed incident is sketchy as hell. Especially with how much they hated Avery.

Breaking bad was good, but I did not find it as amazing (like people raved) compared to shows I am even watching currently. I used the comparison because I watched both through binge last summer, and both were out around the same time frame. It could also be a difference of binging versus the hype people had watching when it was airing in real time.

It had it's moments with me, I just felt like I knew what was going to happen more, before it happened.

Nobody is right or wrong. I loved Sons Of Anarchy but even liked the other FX show (Justified) that ran at the same time better. I put Breaking Bad up in "Tier One" alongside The Americans, The Wire, and The Sopranos.
