Yeah, it took a while for his character to gel but I can't remember if he was bad for the entire first season. It was a long time ago.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Ozark 3 was clearly the best season of the three, eliminating the implausible idiocy of some of the characters in season 2 and just having a tighter, better script. Tom Pelphrey is starting to get recognized and his turn as Wendy's brother (Ben) might get him an Emmy nom. They did so many things right and topped it off with a great season finale.
Season-A
Season Finale-A+
If I had to pick my least favorite episode----SpoilerThat would be episode nine ("Fire Pink"). As good as Pelphrey's portrayal of Ben was his cataclysmic decline became a little irritating and much of the episode was devoted to the Wendy-Ben road trip showcasing Ben's tragic fall.Comment

Ozark 3 observation: Obvious Spoiler Ahead:
SpoilerI accepted Ben's death too easily and it appears more likely than not that he is alive. There was no onscreen death or reveal of a deceased body.
Wendy's drinking and pain could be attributed to her handing Ben over to Navarro to sort his mental problems out in Mexico-a risky proposition
The Byrdes (certainly Marty) were aware of Giant Helen's manipulation of the faked confession-when Marty was tipped off by Agent Miller about the confession and warned not to go to Mexico he took it in stride and got on the plane. And finally Jonah actually opens the container that holds "Ben's (??????) remains" and touches them. In some cases DNA testing of cremated remains is possible in some bone or tooth fragments. If Jonah ever got curious...
EDIT:SpoilerThen I just realized a grieving Wendy asks about Ben's ashes so her pain is that of someone that lost her brother. She's not in on any faked Ben-death.Last edited by JayBee74; 03-28-2020, 03:28 PM.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
SpoilerFrom what I gathered that was their old home in Chicago. Not sure why she backtracked there from her plane meeting with Navarro and Helen other than to reminisce. I suppose she was marking the home or just making it unsettling to the current occupants by doing such things as putting food coloring in the milk and leaving the door open.
