For those who have seen both, what do you rate higher: Hank finding out in Breaking Bad or Stan finding out in The Americans?

Done and now about to cut into my Shield watch and re-watching the last 2 seasons dragging my viewing buddy kicking and screaming. What a ride.

I definitely get the hype for the show more after the last 2 seasons, they're pretty nuts. Glad to see my guy Jesse make it. Skyler kinda regressed into just being a reflection of Walt's actions and Walt Jr. is still having people call him Flynn but even they have their moments. Walt and Skyler had their own mini-Whitecaps for Walt's 51st birthday, and Walt Jr. had some stuff to do towards the end. My guy Landry from Friday Night Lights going crazy as Todd, that was pretty cool to see.



I went back and watched Whitecaps again and Sopranos is still the blueprint, but BB is a worthy son. The ending was unexpected I guess, I didn't think it would be anywhere near that happy. Walt dies in a lab with all the blue meth so he gets credit for all of it, his family will get the money, Jesse made it. Big contrast from the assumed scene of Tony with his face in his pasta and his brains blown out in front of his family or the realization that the game keeps going on with Marlo. Regardless, going to rewatch the last 2 seasons and then El Camino before BCS. The trinity is still in tact in my mind (The Wire, Sopranos, Mad Men) but I'm willing to consider a Rushmore if only because I found out Vince Gilligan is a fellow Virginian.

Stan by a mile for me. You can feel his heart get ripped out of his chest in that garage.

The thing that's special about the Sopranos to me is that it's a 12/10 drama and a 10/10 comedy. "Snakes been ****ing themselves long before Adam and Eve T." "Russians aren't all bad. How about the Cuban Missle Crisis? **** suckers moved nuclear warheads into Cuba, pointed them right at us. That was real? I saw that movie, I thought it was bull****." No non-sitcom show works as well on shuffle as The Sopranos, almost any episode in any order and I'm good to go. I hit shuffle on BB, end at "RUN", and then I'm back in season 1? Can't do it lol.

Friends is definitely the top of my guilty pleasure list, I own a DVD copy of each season and a full series set, and refused to upgrade to blu-ray because I've seen the episodes too many times and them cutting out literally a minute and a half from each episode takes out jokes that I can vividly remember. Before my prestige TV run, it was my grail, still is up there but hard to compare to top tier dramas. I just finished Person of Interest and that was an awesome ride, not sure if that's a guilty pleasure or not. I have a lot of shows like Jolly where they just ran out of steam halfway through like The Good Wife or Suits which was an absolute travesty by the end, but I'm a sucker for a legal drama. There's so many shows, Smallville, Silicon Valley is an all-timer for me. I had a lot of fun with Greek. Black Sails was super dope, Desperate Housewives. I've seen too much tv.

Oh, I forgot about Friends! Yeah, I lol'd about once an episode with Friends, which is pretty good in my book.

Yeah, you can't beat the Sopranos for funny lines. I think my favorite is:

"Peeps? The family name is Pepperelli."

"....we gotta redo it. F'ing Jason...he's dyslexic."

Or the scene where Vito is working and has the internal monologue about how close to lunch it must be getting, then he looks at his watch and it's like 10 AM.

suspected Phil and Liz a few episodes before and you knew it was going to come to a head in the finale. Hank's revelation was surprising, even if you knew it was inevitable.

I'm not thinking of popular shows, I'm thinking which off the grid show you might be embarrassed to admit you like, or even a popular show that you don't want to admit you like


For me, it's always reality dating shows, I'm such a dork for these shows and I don't know why, and I'm talking about the Bachelor in Paradise stuff, but also the VH1 shows before they had a murderer. Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, I Love Money lol that stuff. I'm also a Catfish honk



But if you're talking scripted shows, I'm not sure, maybe Outlander?


I love me some Meg Ryan movies, if we go that route



or Cruel Intentions, Reese was a fav

Absolutely loved Peaky Blinders. Watched Sopranos for the second time a few months ago liked it better the first time through.

Yeah, but Son's did it well though. Some of that stuff was BRUTAL.

LOL, I thought the place looked pretty bland but not a rathole that an alcoholic/drug addict might live in. It was funny when Chris was commenting about someone drinking too early.

These three are not on Netflix in the U.S.

The one gripe is that Netflix tried to automatically convert to English after a few bits of dialogue, so I had to go back into the settings and change the audio back to Japanese. Subs not dubs, kids.

I just started watching Ozark last week. I'm about 10 episodes in and it's really good. There are some things that aren't explained well and some gap but overall it's a good show. I just finished The Wire a few months ago so I've been trying to find a drama that is pretty good and this one fills the void.

Somehow I've dodged spoilers for it up to this point so I added a bunch of stuff related to it to my muted words list on Twitter so hopefully nothing squeaks by the cracks until I get caught up with it. For me that might take a while because I don't do a lot of binge watching anymore and I'll probably slow down with it soon.

I just started watching Ozark last week. I'm about 10 episodes in and it's really good. There are some things that aren't explained well and some gap but overall it's a good show.
