Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Rurouni Kenshin: The Final
But of course, I'd first recommend that you somehow are able to watch...
Rurouni Kenshin: Origins
Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno
Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends
These three are not on Netflix in the U.S.
The one gripe is that Netflix tried to automatically convert to English after a few bits of dialogue, so I had to go back into the settings and change the audio back to Japanese. Subs not dubs, kids.
I hope we get a movie to cover the ova. Depite not Loving the latest installment it really has been a well done adaptation

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Started watching Elite. Didn't think I would like it, figured it was another annoying teen drama.
Welp. Dead wrong. Turns out it's the HS drama version of Money Heist. Nonstop BS, insanity, deception, and... crime?

Saw the first two Underworld movies are on Netflix again. I legit like the first two, even if they're schlocky.Last edited by LambertandHam; 07-01-2021, 09:34 PM.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Big fan of Ozark, very enjoyable and can't wait for this last season.
Funny story, my daughter's boyfriend is from where Ozark is supposed to be taking place (though a good share of the series is filmed in Georgia). So as not to divulge any spoilers, I won't share his amusing take on things, lol.
Now the wait for Season 4 as I try to find something to watch. I'm really glad I got into it because I had not watched anything on Netflix in months.
FINALE SPOILERS
SpoilerThe way they tried to humanize Helen and then they did her like that at the end was really well done. You see how she lacks any real morality but then she gets shot and I felt bad about it for some strange reason because I instantly thought about her kids.
I don't know all of the logistics of air travel. I've flown a lot commercially but the way Navarro's jet can fly seamlessly in and out of the country without much of a trace seems a little odd but I'm trying not to overthink the show and just enjoy it.
I had also never heard of Tom Pelphrey until now and his acting as Ben was amazing. His story arch is so hard to watch because the acting is so good.

Finished up Season 3 today. Something I like about the show is they move the story forward instead of letting things drag for a long time.

SpoilerYou know, if there were such a thing as a Cartel Help Wanted Board, I sure would be asking questions as to why there has been such a turnover in the Ozark Liaison position. Del and Helen seemed like such badasses that met surprising ends. Both deaths were as big of shockers as I've ever seen in a show.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Atypical's new season dropped last Friday. I enjoyed the previous seasons because use of its organic flow; the first two episodes of this season have played out like a short-ran sitcom. I sure hope it rebounds.Comment

What's good to watch on Netflix
Real interesting premise. Love the Norse mythology mixed in today’s world. I thought the casting as far as looks go was awesome.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that this was the best Thor I’ve seen. No shade on Chris but having Thor speaking Norwegian just felt so authentic. I was eating up all the mythology they were spitting out.
SpoilerMagne looked perfect with the way his face is shaped and his build, totally bought in when he discovered he was Thor.
, same with Loki…fantastic job. I also enjoyed all the Giants performances too.
It’s definitely a slow build type show and has some plot holes but I like it very much. Nice twist to a coming of age story.

Masters of The Universe: Revelation. It was alright, expected something more similar to the 80s show. I'll watch Part 2 so see if it gets better.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Netflix is going to do a live action Pokemon series.
My guess is that it'll be based in the Pokemon world from the TV show and games, but it just won't have anything to do with Ash. Probably closer to what we saw with Detective Pikachu.
I'm still waiting for a live action Dragonball Z TV series. The live action movie sucked, but with everything we've seen with cgi and other stuff, it's definitely possible to do. 1 season based on each saga (with some sagas getting 2 seasons). That's a show which would be great as live action if done properly.Comment
