Re: What's good to watch on Netflix

    I don't see a Black Mirror thread.

    Anyone watching the new season?

    I've seen episodes 1,2 and 3.

I thought USS Callister was a good kick off episode for the new season. Though The Ringer tried to call it this season's San Junipero (it's not).

Arkangel and Crocodile felt like classic Black Mirror - thoughts of how different the world would be with the technologies present in the story lines.

Still hoping one of the last three has a big hitter.

Yeah, but I don't think Clay or Jax would have ever considered running for elective office at any point in that show.

The last two episodes were excellent but limiting them to six hurts Peaky Blinders. This season felt like once they got revved up it was over.

Having said that I'm looking forward to next season. I wonder how powerful Thomas will become against real leaders of Britain like "1925ish" Winston Churchill. Will the young boxer have a more prominent role next season?

I watched the first of the two new Dave Chapelle Stand up shows. This guy cracks me up, I find him very very funny.

I see there is now a second season of Travelers also. I may have to re-watch the first season it's been so long my memory is bad.

Dave is on my Rushmore. I love how both were different settings and feel. The last one was more freestyle and intimate compared to his traditional special but I laughed my *** off on the first one.

I watched Bright yesterday and liked it. It would make a cool graphic novel.

I'm cool with that, I enjoyed the first one and I bet since it had Will in it the numbers musta been good enough to warrant another.

Such an incredible show. It's become my favorite (non-Marvel) Netflix Original Series.
Not that it really matters, but isn't Peaky Blinders a BBC show? I don't think it's a Netflix Original.

Yes it is a BBC show. Netflix has done this with a couple of show, they consider Longmire and Arrested Development Netflix Originals as well. Both of those were on broadcast TV.

That would make sense, seeing as how the episodes are so long. I just know that the Flix has it branded as an original. Also, I just learned from looking it up that we don't hear most of the music actually used in the "British" version.

One of the reasons Arrested Development is branded is because season 4 was Netflix only. It was cancelled and Netflix used their god-like powers to resurrect it.

Oh yea I get that is why Arrested Development and Longmire for that matter are listed as Netflix originals. I’m just saying I don’t see it as an original like the Marvel series they do for example.
